NEW Murali "mystery ball"

Post by woe_is_me »

I see today that "the chucker" has a new mystery ball to unleash on the Australians.

Maybe this is the ball he actually bowls - not throws.

Woe, woe, woe, what am I good for????

I thought it rather amusing when Murali was being 'called' for chucking in a match in Australia. I think the umpy was Daryl Hair but could've been Emerson.

He called him a few times so Murali thought he'd be a smarty and bowl a leggy. He ran in and bowled the ball and the umpy called him again. He (Murali) laughed as if he'd proved a point.

What happened to his 'permanently bent from childhood' bowling arm ? It came over nice and straight. Funny about that.
Donny.

It's a game. Enjoy it. :D

If Murali is a chucker, Bucks is the worst player in the AFL and Tarrant is a bloody loser!! Rubbish at its very worst! Absolute utter nonsense.
Murali has been scientifically tested many times (including at the WA university under Daryl Foster, the former WA state cricket coach) and has been found to have a perfectly legal delivery action each time. Hair made an error of judgement on that fateful day in 1995 when he first called him. He saw the "optical illusion" of a throw due to Murali's permanently bent arm. But I can tell you that bowling with a bent arm is NOT illegal. as long as you don't straighten it during the bowling action. Murali doesn't do this. He bowls with a permanently bent arm. Perfectly legal.
In my opinion, the folk who point the chucking finger at him are just plain jealous of his mighty achievements, just like the many Bucks and Taz bashers around other AFL clubs. Or merely ignorant of the bowling laws.
My advice is to sit back, relax and enjoy the magnificent skills of this amazingly talented SL spinner who will soon break the world record for the most number of test wickets! When that happens, I will get the same great joy as I will get when the mighty 'pies win the next premiership!!!
