Disappointing that the streak is over, but we’ve had a great season so shouldn’t be too downbeat at the moment.

Now it’s a simple equation. Beat Carlton. We finish top 4 and they miss the 8.

Bring on next week.

Sydney’s defensive structures are elite. Defences win flags.

They’re a serious chance for the premiership.

It's been a great ride but this past week didn't fill me with confidence with Grundy ruled out for the season, talk of illness, De Goey set to miss and up against a Longmire drilled side on their home deck.

Everything must come to an end, you sensed we were ripe for the picking this round, a loss will now release the pressure of expectation that was building on the group and serve as a timely reminder we need to keep looking for ways to improve.

Time now to quickly regroup and set our focus on Carlton.

Reality check. Swans controlled the entire game. There was not a minute where we looked to have the game played on our terms.

Yes agree Jezza.

They controlled our forward line. Still, we showed some grit & all is not lost.

Defending is easier on a ground the size of a 5 cent piece, when you have built your structures for it. To be hinest, 27 points was no worse than should have been expected, given the ground, the flu, and the personnel we had out compared to them.

Not sure what the odds were but they would have been massive without JDG.
Smacked by a much better team. Wipe this one and move on. God I hope we beat the blues.

I don't think the result means much, unless Collingwood has to play here again in the Finals - the ground is a very strange one and not much like the MCG (it's about 6.5% smaller in total area - both shorter and narrower).

Correct weight. A disgraceful ground to play on. Their defence was made to look good because we were being smashed in clearances and allowed them to control the game. The SCG is a definite advantage.

Buddy is becoming the reincarnation of Adam Goodes at the end of both of their careers, every-thing that happens to him according to him should be a free kick and he voices it to the umpires, and then he explains to the umpire why every out of bounds should be a free against the opposition. The commentators don't say a word, although Brian Taylor did make one comment during this match. But the commentators didn't when it came to Goodes, but once the crowds get sick of it and start to boo, it will become something else.
In the end, it's not going to matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away

Illness , injury shithole of a ground and some out of character performances saw the end of a great run. One thing we got a look at is Collingwood without DeVoey and Grundy and Adam’s. Do we still think we’ll go OK without them. Callum Brown back for his first game in 12 weeks!!! Loss. He got the ball enough but just keeps running into trouble or hanballs to someone in an impossible position. We need to beat. Aton noe and hopefully Jordy is back and Tay. McCrae to come in for Ginny and anyone for Brown.
