2023 Brownlow

Post by dalyc »

I was just looking at the previous winners and noted that clubs with the most winners is almost inversely proportional to the club’s premiership success. These are Fitzroy/Bears/Brisbane, South Melbourne / Sydney, Footscray / Bulldogs and St Kilda.

Any theories as to why?

Probably due to star players shining in poor teams whilst premiership success is on the back of a good team which would share votes.

At the start of the season I backed Nick Daicos at $50 for the Brownlow. Now I'm starting to get nervous.
