Yes, read many things about it's effects.

I'm mainly interested in the sleep aid abilities of it. I fly to work in the morning so won't try it until I get back home on Monday.

Never tried it, apparently the traditional way of making it is chew the Kava root and spit the juice into a bucket, so when you drink it your drinking ither people's spit.

That's a hard pass from me.

My packet is a powder. Have to put some in a 'filter bag'... I'll be using a pool sock. You then keep dunking it into your measure of water and keep squeezing the bag until the liquid coming out of the sock is clear.

I tried it out on Tuesday night. The taste is pretty average. Only had a small amount, 300ml of water with 1 tablespoon of the powder.

Fell asleep easily and had an ok sleep.

I'll up the dosage and give it another crack on the weekend.

Just noticed this on the link you posted Stui - USAGE ADVICE

Use for a minimum of four weeks to see beneficial effects.

^Interesting. Keep us posted on how it goes.

My latest thing is waking up with the birds no matter how late I go to sleep. Most people can't get up; I can't sleep in anymore, damn it!

Yep, same here.

My 20 odd years of FIFO has made it impossible for me to be in bed any later than 5.30am.
Wake up time on-site is 3.30am - 4.30am depending on if it's a workout day or not. Usually asleep by 8.30pm at the latest.

I've been a regular user of melatonin gummies/tabs for years and sleep ok.. sort of :?

Last night I just could not get to sleep. At 1am I got out of bed and set up on the couch, watching golf of all things. I must have nodded off for about an hour around 3am, got up around 4, went back to bed and slept until the usual 5.30am automatic wake up.

Will give the Kava a bash after the footy, but I think a warm milo and a scotch finger would be enough to send me into dream land tonight.

Well it's a flop for me.

Had about half a litre with a tad over the recommended dose. Gave me a headache. Tastes like shit and makes your mouth a bit numb, no way I'm giving it the 4 weeks.

DP. (Damn, DPs are a thing for me now. In 20 years of posting it's rarely happened, but seems like a thing over the past couple of weeks. Is it me ageing, or Nick's ageing?!).
