Biggest losing margin under Fly.

2024 is done. Time to write it off and start preparing for 2025.

I can take a loss like that if we were rebuilding and were playing a bunch of kids

But this is meant to be another flag tilt in which we traded away draft picks for experienced players, and traded out others that were not going to be able to squeeze into our 22.

We have had a horrible season with injuries, retirements, but clearly a mismanagement of our list.

Whatever happens over the next few weeks can it be what is best for 2025 and beyond. If that means losing but playing more kids I’m ok with that.

Geez, that was ugly. People who sat through that in the rain need some sort of medal...or treatment!

I guess the only thing you can say is it has to happen to push through the rebuild. Get the list properly fit, work the underperformers into a better head space, filter which youngsters we're going to go with, introduce some new twists on the method, etc.

It's a brutal game. It was absolutely worthwhile putting it all on the line for that glorious premiership. The smarter we are from here, the faster we cycle back.

Carna' Pies. Don't drop your heads; this is life.
In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

As mentioned the getting better every day is not working
What will work is getting better players at draft
I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right

Won't get within 30 points in this. We are a rabble. Our captain couldn't get a kick in a stampede, our forward line is in disarray and rushing McStay back shows just how desperate we are.

$6.25 for the Hawks by 40+ . They've won 8 of their last 10 and are on a Sam Mitchell inspired rise up the ladder.`

Bigger bunch of flogs than the current Hawks? Not sure there has been.

McInnes has to be played every game and wherever he wants to play, ffs put him there.
Get back on top.

There’s no answer now for 2024. The last 3 games the same game plan killed us, possession and pick us apart.
Today wasn’t that. Today was a very very poor team against a very hungry team. A team not interested in doing the team things or the hard things.
Oh well, at least you wont know if we won or lost on Monday.
Only credit I can give was to JDG for having a crack in the second half but he’s clearly unfit and not the player he was last season.
The other thing that worries me is Pendles and Sidey at centre clearances. I mean regardless of the are up to it or not, they’ve got 1 season left at best, who’s coming through?
The match day thread is for unfiltered BS knee jerk reactions. The time for level headed comment comes after.

Very difficult to watch. I am just sad right now. I don't know where we are as a team or where we are going. Not going to say anything else. 🥺

Thought I might just have gone early last week calling for us to fold the season, get players healthy for next year, and basically start preparing for the next campaign. After tonight that is certainly the case. Start planning for 2025 because we have a mountain to climb to regain respect. Even the Richmond game is no gimme for Collingwood now.

Time for McRae to go back and have a good look at himself and his coaching team's decisions. Unaccountable chaos ball is done.
