I notice no one bothered to list the final score. Ha ha. No wonder.

Lions 10.12.72 defeated Pies 3.2.20.

Sorry, but why is the club wasting money on this team? We'd have done better to keep the netballers instead!

Definitely the spoon Haff. What has happened to Ruby Schleicher? Has becoming a media personality on Foxtel gone to her head?

Pies have too many what Jack Dyer used to call good ordinary players at present.
Players that haven’t been able to make the jump from VFLW to AFLW.

Backline missing Butler - similar to the men’s missing Murphy.

Forward line can’t lock the ball in even when it does get into forward 50.
Too easily ouworked and pushed off the ball last week.

Pies were tipped to be at the bottom end of the ladder this season.
At least we will get some decent draft picks then.

I think it’s disgraceful that we have achieved absolutely nothing in now many seasons of AFLW?

We seem to constantly lose good players in the off season and have had a shocking run with injury to start the season (nothing new there for Collingwood ). DB what are your thoughts on how we can become a powerhouse?

The team has become very difficult to watch.

The change in coach, and consequently the change in game style, as well as multiple injuries and the loss of some of our more seasoned players in the off-season (Ash Brazill, Sophie Casey etc) has badly affected cohesion and confidence so far this season.

The way the AFLW was set-up and funded with measly salaries and short-term contracts plus AFL's 'rules' and cash handouts to help the newly establishing teams recruit talent over the years has cost the Pies big time with many ex-pies stars taking more money and/or a longer contract to be playing for other clubs. To some extent it is a league-wide issue with multiple players changing clubs each year, but Collingwood seemed to suffer more than most for some years and now other clubs are also being drained of significant talent.

There have also been in my view some highly questionable decisions to let highly talented older players leave the club (especially Jamie Lambert to St Kilda for the '23 season) and this decision-making seemed to sit with our head of the Women's Football program Jess Burger.

None of the recent new acquisitions seem to have set the world on fire (with the possible exception of our new Irish player Muireann Atkinson) and many seem way off the pace of being up to the standard.

The constant loss of favourites and many of the players that you have got to know in recent years also detracts from feeling very connected to the team, and its lamentable form over the last 2 weeks does not help in feeling positive about the season.

Now we have the nonsense of matches on week nights!

How is this meant to help attendances and atmosphere at the matches?!!

Who comes up with these ideas?

The AFL seems to have a strange idea about who attends AFLW matches. There are of course some family and friends who comes to see a specific player, but most of us are also Collingwood members who also go the AFL matches. Yet last year the Collingwood AFLW team was scheduled to be in the only match played on grand final day!

I won't keep going but I have dwindling confidence in both the current AFL women's footy management or the CFC women's footy management.
