Fair enough, well I retract what I said in my post. Great to see people getting involved in these sort of causes. _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

Eddie,
1. No I haven't. Would be more than happy to graciously accept your invitation to visit the Collingwood rooms with you after a game. I eagerly await your PM
2. I think the problem with the Gold Coast situation is that it was misreported in a lot of spheres, conveniently omitting the "away games" caveat. My first response to all that anxiously interrogated me "what do you think of the Pies' Gold Coast move?", was "I haven't read into it, but it will only be for away games, Eddie knows where his bread's buttered".
3. I called the club with this last year, and was politely rebuffed, I thought I might suggest it again; a "season's ticket" for Telstra Dome games. I'm an MCC member, and as the Pies play 14 games at the "G" in 2008, I can't afford to buy a full Pies' membership too.
The club has a package which allows for a reserved seat at Telstra Dome games only, which would be perfect except I couldn't sit with any of my friends. All I want is entry to the Dome for our four games, and maybe entry to our VFL games too. If something like this could be conjured up, it would make my day and give me an affordable option to support the club I love.
Thankyou sir, congrats on a stellar job,

Everyone at the club particularly me shares a hatred of that dungheap on Royal parade, but unfortunatly it looks like it will have to do for the moment.
We were desperate and continue to be, to play at Victoria Park and hope to do so in the future when the council are finished with their workings there.
Other things are in the pipeline.
Will keep in touch.
By the way I saw Mr.Hiss' post re lunch Christmas day. We will be having our annual Christmas lunch for our friends at the club which I will be able to attend this year.
I will get the club site to highlight the options on Christmas day at our other venues.

Regarding the playing at Vic park bit, did he mean our VFL side or the seniors? _________________ Defender...........

When did the AFL team ever play home games at princess park?
He was talking about the VFL team clearly. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Wasn't bumped because of the content, it was bumped because of the author, I had no idea Eddie posted here until very recently, and I'm sure the majority of posters didn't know either.

Wldome bwck Eddie, I for one trust you and the board to govern, direct and build this club into a dominate premiership force.
Your comments about some of the topics and postings here was fair. Heck I've been guilty of letting my passion override commonsense before.
This draft proved that we are club of choice to high calibre players seeking a new home.
I think we should take a leaf out of the American way with our currency
Instead of "In God we trust"
The Australia currency should read "In Eddie and the Club we trust"
Heck everyone knows when Collingwood I strong the game is strong and the economy is good.
Eddie maybe speak to Turnbull about evoking some sort of parliamentary edict that umpires must always give Collingwood players the benefit of the doubt. This would result in more wins. More wins means more supporters attending games or hotels/clubs across the country thus stimulating the economy.
Collingwood could lead the country back to prosperity
Just saying
Eddie on a side note can we get Moore to sign on for 10yrs please this kid could be anything. Also if you get a chance sink the boot into Carlton and Essendon a few times just makes the masses feel good. |
