Saints look a better team from a small sample size.
They are attempting to move the ball a lot quicker and Hill is such a good user of the footy. He is one player we would want to put some time into.

We can find a way to be competitive but not too sure at this stage as to whether we can consistently win this seasonšŸ„ŗ If we have a good day, we are definitely the better team and will win. If we have a shocker, then it becomes a bloody hard slog and hard to predict. Iā€™ll be optimistic and pick us by 16 points but no way will I bet on it happening. Who bloody knows for sure how they will play?? šŸ˜”šŸ˜’šŸ™„ Go figurešŸ¤”

Dogs are in shithouse form, so not sure just how good the saints are, hard to judge, might be a tough game though, they will come our fiiring, on all cylinders, so we better be ready. ON papar, with Cox back and Stevo, i think we can account for them by around 17 points.

Also still out Treloar cox and Grundy looking maybe at missing his first match for a long while heā€™s sustained a side strain from a knock on Thursday night Iā€™m at Holden centre oval few players mostly the injured ones are limbering up and Grundy was there.

I think Grundy will be ok but was clearly hampered on Thursday night.

Elliott, Thomas, Hoskin-Elliott and T. Brown all provided little.

Brown is excused due to inexperience while Elliott is safe for now (though where was the midfield minutes he's been training for?).

I really don't understand why we'd take Phillips away from his best position of wing and in doing so replace him with Hoskin-Elliott who is at his most damaging when he's getting dangerous inside f50.

While Mihocek has been great value and is an excellent No.2 tall forward our achilles heel remains our lack of a genuine A grade key forward.

What we do have in our favour though are a talented bunch of small and mid sized forwards but Stephenson was absent, de Goey spent more time up field, Hoskin-Elliott was played out of position and Elliott had a stinker.

The result 36pts.

Having a miserly defence is great but after what I believe was an overcorrection last season towards playing a more cautious brand of football Buckley needs to loosen the reigns on our players natural attacking mindset so we can search for a better balance.

A good way to start would be to get back to the forward mix that closely resembles our 2018 lineup so we make sure our players further afield always have plenty of goal kicking talent to aim for and use.

Another tricky match v saint Kilda could it be 2 draws in a row. It could be st.kilda are much improved too and we could play a tad better too. Im tipping a close one and another draw say 58 points each.

Hard to gauge on last weeks result
Bulldogs are completely shithouse
We played tigers who are flag favs and we held them to 5 goals for the game just couldnā€™t manage any more ourselves
Think we still have the bigger upside having Cox Stephenson Treloar greenwood out of our possible best 22
If you by consistency of team work we should win easy
Our defence will hold them a lot better than the bulldogs
Our forward line looks more likely than thereā€™s as well
Should be a 3+ goal win to us
