and what u said steph about not watching them if we dont want to, well we're only watching so we can see the next batsman after he goes out!! lol, nah hes not quite THAT boring, but i think most of the other batsmen are more exciting!

WELL WELL.....35 off 50odd balls and lehamann can smack 28 runs in one over.....wonder who is more exciting....

but the debate must rage on....BEVAN V MARTYN who is the most boring of them all....bevan looked out of sorts...and should not ave made double figures....and martyn...well what can I say...looked avg. but I guess Namibia have a "great" bowling attack...

Bevan is the best at shouldering arms in the world.

Also seems to have developed a great radar for hitting the ball straight to fielders. Previously he was one of the best players at hitting the balls into gaps.

Last night was a good example.

The slower batsmen in the Aussies lineup - Gilly, Bevo, Punter and Marto - scored 77 runs from 123 balls.

The faster batsmen - Haydos, Symmo, Boofa and Hoggy - scored 211 from 181 balls.

It takes both kinds to build a 300 inngs.

Donny....Australia very rarely lose matches....they are easily the best in the world....but that does not mean you need to carry snails in the side when young guns are waiting in the wings for there opportunity.....

Nah that wont be necessary as both those players have proven themselves against quality bowling attacks. Ponting and Gilchrist actually make an effort to attack the bowling and often sacrifice their wickets in an attempt to quicken the run rate. The only thing Martyn sacrifices are his batting partners....lol Martyn left Symonds high and dry. Clearly Symonds was in better form so for the good of the team Martyn should have run himself out.

Bevan has made it an artform to chase less than 200 runs and only barely get the runs. He is the only player i know who gets man of the match awards for scoring like a snail....lol lol I believe that happened in WSC in australia last summer.

Both these players can field brilliantly.

Bevan can hardly throw a cricket ball and Martyn has trouble catching one.
