All I said was that Collingwood would now make the front page (racism in Indigenous round) and back page (the loss) of the papers.  |

Richo said the Goodes was verging on tears. Very sad that this would happen after the game. One would think that once the game is over, the emotions would be - well played, too Goodes tonight, see you in the finals.
Sadly, some fans are jerks and feel like they are somehow entitled to take their anger out on others - kind of like a guy who is fork lift operator trying to belittle another fan on Nicks by saying he pays more in taxes than others earn in salary........

I hate the way some idiot has now hijacked all the talk about this game on TV. Goodes is a champion and doesn't deserve some comment like this (assuming a racist comment is the only one that would produce this reaction).
But geez Eddie is a spotlight hog. Now he goes into the Swans room to apologise on TV to Goodes. Seriously Ed. Just guaranteed this story will grow even bigger legs on the basis of some teenage moron.
Time you went too Eddie. Apologise, but don't be so public about it. |

Where is the parenting. How does a 16 year old grow up with these emotions today. My son is 8 and simply cannot even fathom why his African American friends weren't allowed on buses in the 60's. "Why daddy? That doesn't make any sense." That is how children need to be raised, instead of passing our prejudices on from generation to generation.
20 year anniversary of Nicky winmar and it seems some people still don't get it.
