I don't see the big deal to be honest, whether he is or isn't it does not bother me, his life and his choice. Sadly for some people who come out they cop a lot of crap for it and stuff, I do not see why...it's not like they are harming anyone...
Being gay or straight does not really change who they are, just what they like

| I liken being gay to being a vegetarian in a steak house, most people will let you order your salad in peace. Some guys will try and coerce you into eating the steak, some girls will try and get you drunk enough to eat steak and some will really harass you because they just love their steak so much (but they don't realise that by you ordering salad instead, there's more steak for them!). |

i don't eat steak literally, not metaphorically. what about a fish shop? umm, i don't eat fish either in a literal sense.
