Pretty disappointing way Tooves' mangaer has gone about it... even more so if Tooves has given it the ok.
If he walks out and we get nothing then the 'Tooooooooves' chant will turn to 'Boooooooooooooo' chant.

Might as well own up, that's my blog. I should also stress that I don't know him personally, in the past I had a few informal chats, but nothing for several years now.
He's a very confident person, some would also say ambitious, but I'm not so sure about that. He has been involved at board level across several industries, too many for me to count, but mining is one of them, and that's probably at leats part if why spends a fair bit of time over in WA. Loves to talk - once he gets started, it's hard to stop him. Doesn't seem to care whose toes he steps on. Some people like that, others don't.
So safe to say Marinis is a polarising character. At South Melbourne, he was on the board for a few years after we got out of administration and continued in the Victorian Premier League, after not making it into the A-League for various reasons which are not important. Eventually he left our club because of irreconcilable differences with other board members; fair to say there was fault on both sides in that matter. There was also a noticeable element of supporters who were also pretty happy when he left.
Turned his hand to managing local soccer players, an alleged A-League bid for Melbourne's 2nd licence, of which much detail never surfaced. Hung around a few other VPL clubs in various capacities. May have had some board position at the Freo Dockers, but has certainly had work as a 'consultant' across several sports, was/is on the board of the Johnny Warren Football Foundation, and board of Baseball Victoria. |

| Well he was sacked from South Melbourne cause he orchastrated some transfers to rival Melbourne Knights with out the board of South Melbourne knowing it.Also he did work for the knights too. He is hated big time by South Melbourne suppoters. |

| Can't tooooves speak for himself? All this talk about wanting more money and calling for the club to delist a player to accommodate his financial requests seems ridiculous. Are they coming from tooves or his clown of a manager? I'll reserve my judgement until he speaks on the matter. |

AFL to alert all clubs that Toovey's manager is not accredited.
Toovey effectively has no manager, at least not one able to sign off on any contract.
The AFL has warned clubs not to deal with Toovey's current management.
Reckon a surprised Toovey may be forced to eat humble Pie!

Toovey's Manager has been found not to be accredited.
AFLPA have advised Clubs that he can't be dealt with/sign contracts etc.
