HUH ! my tigers nut bro in law, reckons his tiges will replace us in the top eight, I naturally told him he was dreamin, re Darryl Kerrigan. !

Meanwhile, I think we can win this, against a very up and down side, who no are feared on their home soil, not like in the past. If we bring to the table the same hard running guts game we showed against Port, we can take these pricks for sure. !

Woods by 14 points.

So obviously our selectors are not concerned about the absence of a specialized inside mid. They have obviously chosen "horses for courses" and decided that West Coast has a weak midfield so an inside mid is not essential. This is the only way I can understand the decision to leave out both Luke Ball and JT when clearly both were able to play.

Obviously, we think Priddis can be held by the Caff. The inside work will have to be taken by Beams, and hopefully Blair. Kennedy has to be given a full game at half forward.

I'm hoping and praying our selection policy this week is designed to be oh well we won't win the ruck dual anyways so let's get some speed around the ball and hope for a turnover or intercept from there inside mids and use our outside speed to burn them. Can't see any other logical reasoning personally.
I like giving the kids a go but surely with finals on the line playing ball would have been important this week.
With the toasters likely to rest cox or nic nat forward we need to be very accountable in the middle to make sure they don't get easy inside 50's.
Do we tag Priddis ? Or maybe use Caff as a in & under player ? Not sure really.
If we can get our effiency up into the 70's then I think we can hurt them.
Defensively they leak goals since glass has gone.
Reid needed he past runs and hopefully this week he starts getting into more space. Cloke needs to run up to the wing and back and wear down his opponent.
White could be our X factor here playing as the 3rd tall.
Goldy will be vital in our back line with Tooves. I'm hoping we manufacture a spare in our back line this week and use Goldy in the Maxy type role as 3rd man up or cut off man.
Fingers crossed no injuries and a pies victory.

Nic Nat in doubt for Sunday which is good. Wittsy and White to take on Cox and Lycett. If Nic Nat is actually out come sunday, looks like our choice of the extra runner might prove to be a match winner.

Emerg; Ball, Thomas, Langdon. Toovey, Young, Kennedy in for Martin, Adams, Langdon.

Surely late change, why fly Ball all the way over to be interchange!

If no late change, these selections are as bizarre as not playing Keeffe against Essendon.

kennedy, beams and blair can play inside if needed. so too, broomhead.

unless it rains i think it will be quite an open game. like dave said, going for run.

Beams and Pendlebury are of course very good extractors, but you'd want someone else to continually be on the bottom of packs. Blair's our best bet but is just too small with Priddis standing 185cm. The others you listed can't be expected to play this role. Kennedy maybe one day, Broomhead though is more of an outside player. It really leaves Beams as having to be our main extractor, with Caff maybe playing a shutdown role on Priddis.

This puts a lot of pressure on Beams and Pendlebury, as they won't be getting a lot of ball winning assistance, with Swan also missing. Lumumba has stood up in the middle recently (even had 7 clearances a fortnight back), so hopefully he can continue to perform.

I understand that we're looking for more run, and especially on the bigger ground, that makes some sense. But we've gone from playing three inside specialists (when we desperately needed more run) to one and now none. That's an odd and very quick change in selection policy.

24 degrees, no wind, with a packed house. I'm getting excited.

Big Kennedy may have a field day of we get beaten in the middle. No stopping him if he gets good feed.

Everyone's always worried about their forwards when we play the Eagles. Kennedy, Darling, Nic Nat... I can't remember any of them ever getting on top of us. Darling gets smashed every game. Kennedy rarely does much, and Nic Nat has had one good game.

There's potential there, but it's amounted to little in the past. We have good matchups for Kennedy and Darling and Keeffe's a good option for the resting ruck. I don't think we'll be losing this in defense, our main concern will be to win enough contested ball in the middle as we're down on those types with no Swan, Adams, Ball or Thomas.

Don't you think one will lead to the other? Lack of the midfield contested wins will equal large inside 50s and then Kennedy et al get confidence and then bam, game over

Gotta play Harry on the ball IMO, we'll need his clearance work with no Ball-Adams.

NicNat and LeCras in doubt.

I really like our Chances.

They don’t kick big scores normally. We stopped there Forward line in RD 10 with no Frost and Brown and had Goldsack on Kennedy who Shut Him Down.

Our Mids should match there’s - though Adams will be badly Missed for his Grunt Work.

Hope Kennedy will play full game but I reckon he be a Sub
