Yep, it's this that makes the Hawks a great team. Their individual ability isn't that great, especially these days. Only time we get a good game is when both team's structures hold up. Otherwise we get boring run in goals like today.
Eagles could definitely be closer, but not getting the simple opportunities the Hawks are. |
The difference between the last game they played against each other and this one is that the ground is about 20 metres wider and also shorter - it simply isn't possible to close the Hawks down here the way the Wiggles did in the West. |
I believe west coasts structures are superior anywhere And by not taking there chances, (sounds familiar) they are now having to play catch up which will inevitably learn from.

Terrible handball from Burgoyne.
Game in an interesting state. Eagles should be closer and you'd expect them to have more run. This isn't over.

Unlike the Hawks the Eagles have players that can mark the ball up forward. If they tighten their structures and make this a less open game I'd back em.
