My brain works first thing in the morning. It's my colon that needs the caffeine.

speaking of spies, one of mine (whom i shall refer to as hymie) is reasonably confident sosos will not be named in the afl side this week. given the lack of hysteria to date it seems on the money.

I actually thought he was injured in their game last week. I guess if he's not we'll see him at 1 game or the other Saturday.

I'm hoping we go with Cox, Moore and White as out tall forwards and let Travis go back to the VFL. If either of those preferred 3 lose form or get injured, then Clokey can replace them. The reality is that issues of age/form/agility/mental ability have all conspired to him now being just a reserve forward.

I find it hard to believe that Moore has healed so quickly post a collarbone fracture. Did mine in the VAFA at a similar age & it took 6 weeks (no pin and plate though)

Having said that I could go with the same team as last week. Need to tag one or two of theirs including Daisy.

Interesting dilemma with Moore who according to the article entitled Selection Intrigue on the Collingwood web site, is available to play. Still don't think he will play, but wouldn't be surprised if he does, which will come at the expense of either Cloke or White.
Forget who Greenwood played on at their last outing, but I would see Gibbs as the greater threat between he and Cripps. I would concentrate on nullifying Gibbs first and make sure our mids get their hands on the footy first to deny easy possession to Cripps.
Really don't see much threat from the Carlton forwards. Their backline is very solid though so the challenge is to get through their defences and score quickly.
Must win game.

I'd be surprised if Cloke is left out. Buckley is doing the right thing (Yes, you read it correctly) in telling Cloke that he is no certainty to play. That puts the pressure on Cloke. He did everything right last week bar hit the score board wth a total of 2 out of 12 goals. We walked away with no injuries last week and over the four qtrs Varcoe was clearly below par with basically a handful of possessions. If anyone should be dropped on last weeks performance it's Varcoe. In saying that he should not get penalised for one week but his form has been down all year (when he as played). The suggested inclusions have been out with injury and should not come back in to the Seniors.
IMO, I would suggest no change bar the emergencies and that would see Goldsack named as he should be.

I would send Greenwood to Gibbs close down there best mid. Crisp gets Cripps rotating with DeGoey keep a body on him all day.
Kurnow will go to Sidebottom most likely so Sidey will have little impact as he doesn't handle any sort of tag well but that will leave Pendles and Treloar free.
If Daisy plays of HBF play Varcoe on him Varcoe is smarter and quicker and can burn him defensively.
I wouldn't play Moore give him a couple more weeks rest make sure he is 110% right no point in risking one of our biggest assets going forward.
Cox and Cloke worked ok last week and can stretch the scum defence.
Reid, Brown Marsh Howe did well last week and if they show the same effort this week we should cover the scum forwards easily. I would send Marsh to Casbalt he has the speed to close quickly and use Reid as the interceptor he's ranked 2nd in AFL with 3.5 a game
Need to make Simpson accountable he will be there main prime mover and link up man
If we play with the same effort and desire as last week we win simple

Marsh out for Goldsack, White our for Moore.

Both injured I'd guess.

Marsh Injured AGAIN Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Moore for White was just Common Sense.

Glad Aish kept his Spot
