Not sure about Peter Wright. He looked ok a few seasons ago, but hasn't played much senior footy since then. Will Brodie would be a better get as he is a clearance mid - something we are desperately lacking. Will Kelly's development will improve our forward line next season. Darcy Cameron has already shown he can compete as well.
Hold our cards and see what happens. Treloar / Stevo are the two likely moves if any. Doesn't seem to be much interest in Phillips, Cox or others at this stage. |

Shit Trade Period but interesting Draft |
Dave, maybe this will make you feel a bit better.
Richmond’s 2020 premiership was made up of only THREE recycled players.
Trading for the band aid fix looks good in the paper but the foundations are laid at the draft.
Hit this draft hard ( supposedly a good one ) then pick up Daicos in 12 months and build around it. |
Houli
Prestia
Lynch
Nankervis |
Houli is a bit of a grey area for this exercise. Houli had played senior footy but was drafted ( not traded ) by the Tigers in a pre season draft after Houli and Essendon fell out.
The point being we get a bit carried away with thinking a plug and play trade automatically improves us. If most clubs are topping up with bit players, then the net gain doesn’t stand for much anyway
I’m happy to invest in the draft and trust our recruiting people with a couple high end picks and bring a group through together ( that includes N Daicos ) |

Who of the "Collingwood 4" will be traded; Treloar, Cox, Stevo or Phillips? Are any of JT, Sier, WHE or Wills on the trade table?
What we really need is a top 5 pick this year. And we obviously need to trade our future first rounder. So something is going to happen soon.
But the list of players to trade in is getting shorter by the day.
And of course we still need to re-sign JDG. (With Daics, Moore, Checkers all penned in).
The Langdon decision is still looming too. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

The aggressive trading we were told would happen hasn’t started yet
But we were not swift movers last year also ——I imagine they have targets _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Eddie basically said it all in between the lines, they're not going to talk about anything.. ever... but all will happen in the last few days of trade _________________ All Aboard!! Choo Choo!!! |

Wonder if we could trade Treloar to Carlton for pick 7 and Taylor Harris as the steak knives for our AFLW team? 🤔 |

I'd think and hope it's Adam Treloar and Phillips most likely. Mason I'm 50:50 on and the only reason I'd trade Stevo is if it assisted us securing pick 2. Surely Rupert and Appleby are to be delisted. _________________ I love the Pies, hate Carlscum |

I think what helps to mitigate any Phillips trade is that we have a very similar type player waiting in the wings. He’s younger, comes cheaper, has a few flaws like Phillips but also runs both ways all day.
Hopefully Jay Rantall can have a big pre season and cement his spot in 2021. |

A three way trade involving Collingwood, Essendon and the Western Bulldogs that sees Treloar land at the dogs and Dunkley at Essendon appears our best way forward at this stage.
Collingwood in: Pick 6 (Essendon), Pick 7 (Essendon)
Essendon in: Dunkley, Pick 14 (Western Bulldogs), Pick 16 (Collingwood)
Western Bulldogs in: Treloar, Pick 39 (Collingwood), 2021 1st round selection (Essendon)
Collingwood gain: pick 6, pick 7
Collingwood lose: Treloar, pick 16, pick 39
Essendon gain: Dunkley, pick 14, pick 16
Essendon lose: pick 6, pick 7, 2021 1st round selection
Western Bulldogs gain: Treloar, pick 39, 2021 1st round selection
Western Bulldogs lose: pick 14, Dunkley
The Bulldogs effectively trade pick 14 for Treloar and receive one 1st and one 2nd round selection for Dunkley.
The Bombers claim Dunkley for a future 1st round selection and the downgrading of two others this season.
The Pies trade Treloar for pick 6 and upgrade our existing 1st round selection for a pick inside the top 10 for the cost of a 2nd round selection. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

This is pretty good. Wouldn't complain if we landed picks 6 and 7 in the draft this year. |

The projection of this path is youth ,youth, youth to a flag as against second hand band aid approach
I favour youth too. In 2010 although not full on youth we had very young across the team
Our second hand players Jolly & Ball made an impact—-was it that we chose wisely or was it our time irrespective of them _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |
