Seems like the standard umpiring we seem to be getting this season 🤬 I SO wish the club would say something on our behalf but they never do the gutsy thing to try and improve the situation for us. They believe in the “ignore it and it’ll go away” mantra. That never ever works in the majority of cases.

One of the great ironies is that we must be the only reigning Premier that does not get a gold-plated run from the umpires.
Treloar's throws and the stupid 50 metre penalties crueller us tonight. Don't even start about the kick by Treloar that went 9 metres to be paid a mark and subsequent goal to them.
We get boned every week- this is why I quit going to the games- I will not hand over a cent to the AFL.

Time for the club to have a crack at the umps re Nick Daicos getting illegally held without the ball, taken to the ground without the ball, prevented from getting back up to contest the ball. I can go on. It was $$%^%%$ blatant last night, and FOUR umpires so don’t tell me they didn’t see it — they chose to ignore it.
And the ump who ignored Josh getting whacked but pinged him when he’d had enough of it. Blow the whistle on the first punch and there won’t be a retaliation ffs. |

Yea listened to that. I think he was alluding to the outside 5/stand rule. I have noticed that in some games umps are calling stand before we can move outside 5 which is a tactic we like to use.
They certainly pinged Jaicos for this when he had already was on the move and then pinged Sidey for encroaching over the mark when he wasn’t even within 5 meters of it!

This is one that doesn't particularly favour or disadvantage us, but I'm so sick of these protected zone 50m penalties where a player happens to run past to the side 10 metres away (Dustin Martin just got a goal as a result of one such call a few seconds ago in the Richmond–Geelong game). Imagine explaining that rule to someone from abroad watching the game for the first time! It's farcical.

Yet, some dickheads on thst SIDE BY SIDE site, reckon the umpires were fine last night and had no influence on the match at all, in answer to one of my posts, I kid you not. Last qtr abomination no effect onthem,nor a double 50 meter penalty, that became a very rare 100 meter penalty . They must be bloody blind as bats.
