The way we're trading and with the players retiring, Brayden Sier won't have anyone accompanying him in the rehab group next year. It's going to be lonely for him doing laps on his own at Holden Centre so I suggest we trade him and save the $400,000 towards Treloar's salary.

Any chance MBFC can take over the trading for the rest of the week?

If I did, the only two I'd definitely trade out is Ned Guy and Geoff Walsh. I'd have an open mind about Phillips and Sier and draw a line through trading Treloar, Stephenson and Cox. Gunston would be a disaster but I wouldn't put it past the imbeciles in charge of list management at Collingwood to pursue him in a straight swap for Treloar.

On a personal note i'd prefer to trade Treloar for a low draft pick over a player (unless the player was a gun KF, which isn't going to happen).

My wishlist changes by the minute.

But with 3.5 days of trades left, I'd like to:

Trade Phillips.
Keep Cox.
Keep Stevo, unless we get a top 5 pick or a gun player in return.
Re-Sign De Goey.
Trade Sier.

And would love to have kept Treloar, but that ain't going to happen now.

As far as ins;

A top 5 pick (No idea how tho).
A tall forward that will be in our best 22. (No idea who or how tho. Just someone that can hold the fort for now).
A decent inside mid to replace Sier/Wills.

Questions:
1. Can we beat Essendon to get Jye Caldwell? Can we offer pick 14 if we get that from the Bulldogs?

2. Do we have any interest in any delisted free agents? Matera, Gowers, Parker or Matt Kennedy if Carlton let him go?

3. Are we sure we dont want to pursue Peter Wright?

4. Is pick 75 (or whatever) a bad idea for N. Jetta?

5. Are we going to do something??

Gone to the Dons for bag of beans pick next year.

Another sterling f&ck up from Numpty Ned and Dipshit Derek.

There goes a potential long term full forward.

We obsess with complete players like Gunston and Daniel Wells who have just about completed their careers at other clubs and that's why we don't win premierships. Peter Wright is still a work in progress. Not quite the player we need but if you had to choose between a $900,000 player who is going to cost a top 10 draft pick, or a much younger $500,000 player with limitations who will get better and costing a fourth round draft pick, why wouldn't you choose Peter Wright?

I assume it's because if Wright's in, Cox is out.
Cox has brought us our two recent surprise finals wins.
Wright is a seconds player that has never achieved anything.

Wright is hardly a seconds player; certainly had a poor 2020 though.
Many years younger than Cox, with a lot of upside and the GCS contributing to his wage, so.... another recruiting fail for our clowns.

Everybody conveniently forgets that not all players are like the King brothers who have mature bodies at age eighteen. Peter Wright has always been skinny and is easily moved off the ball. These type of players take years to develop if clubs have the patience.

I am no fan of this administration but I disagree on this one with you.

Even with those points that you raise, as long as Cox is there, Wright couldn't play for us. There's simply no place for him. He's not as good as Cox at the moment and would cost a list spot and money to have him sit in the two's until Cox retires. We just weren't the club for him. Why would he even consider joining us? Essendon was a much better fit and they will be paying his market value.

Shudder to think where our list managers would be without the recent free hits on Father-Son selections and NGA.
F/S ~ Brown x 2, Moore, Daicos x 1 +1 to come.
NGA ~ IQ & McInness.

Come the 2020 and 2021 draft, depending on the pick, the following summarises the points required and the pick discount for a F/S / NGA pick.
If McIness goes top 10 and Nick Daicos goes top 5 next year, the recent clambering/cluster reflects the need to secure the points this year and next and in turn, the proposed list adjustments and cap relief currently going on.

1 — 3000 — 2400
2 — 2517 — 2014
3 — 2234 — 1787
4 — 2034 — 1627
5 — 1878 — 1503
6 — 1751 — 1401
7 — 1644 — 1315
8 — 1551 — 1241
9 — 1469 — 1175
10 — 1395 — 1116

Can’t be a fail if we never wanted him, not like we lost out. About the same as losing James Stewart. Plenty on here said we made a mistake.

Customer Review ~ Collingwood Trade Period

Service was slow, order not received. Asked for a Full Forward, nothing received. Would not recommend.

Not received because Buckley is in charge of delivery.
It was sent from Sydney and at the moment it's pinging backwards and forwards between Brisbane and Darwin.
Expected to arrive at Geelong.

There’s every chance, the first five picks could be made up of four talls, depending on the needs of the first five clubs who have those selections.
That means any club could end up with a pick between 6 and 10 on the night and use it to select the second / third best U18 midfielder in the country.
There’s no guarantees of course but I would be fairly happy with anything inside the top 10 and McInnes added in the late teens with an accumulation of later picks.
