To be pedantic, we may have given away 2 potential top 22 players we could have taken in the two first draft picks for this year and next. Not that I'm complaining.

Considering how we rogered the Brions over Beams, you reckon they'll be playing nice over this kid? They'll be wanting the kitchen sink.

They won't get it though. Brisbane will be in the unfortunate position of having Aish out of contract, unlike an in contract Beams. Yes, he likely won't get to us if they make him walk to the PSD, but it's highly doubtful they will let a former pick 7 walk for no compensation just to spite us.

Brisbane don't have the same luxury Port Adelaide of the early 2000's did with Stevens (they were actually competitive and could afford to let him walk on principle). If they let Aish go for nothing there would be a massive outcry from their already meagre supporter base, and it would set them back on field even further.

If a first rounder is on offer, they'll accept it, otherwise they might accept a second round pick and a player like Gault (yes, yes, I know he's your boy) now that he's showing some promise.

Thought this was worth re-surfacing... enjoying looking at comments from past discussions. You weren't far from the truth here, Stupied

Post subject: James Aish - Making long sleeves fashionable again!Reply with quote

Quote:
Buckley and Hine were in dispute over the recruitment of the underperforming James Aish and Hine won, meaning that Collingwood have not only traded away next year's first-round draft pick but also their second as part of the Aish deal. Last year's trade period reaped Adam Treloar but that came at a heavy cost to the Magpies and not everyone agreed with that cost.

So that is shows that Footy Department is in Dissary and Might say why Aish been not playing well IF Coaches did not rate him

Well at the moment I'm with Bux on this one.
From what I have seen he is ordinary.
Too early to tell for sure so he needs at least another year or 2.
But given my posts about Hine on this board.
I am not surprised about the dispute.

So, suddenly everything Caroline Wilson writes is true because it suits you to believe it.

I wouldn't believe a word she writes. No way Aish would be at the club if Bucks didn't want him. She is doing nothing more than kicking us while we are down.

Don't be so precious, Dave. My comment was directed to Jez07, not you.

I am confident it's just seeing Aish Struggle and a Suppose Lack of Effort and Put 1+1 together and got 5

No Trade would be done unless everyone Agreed
