It's a rebuild in name only if you don't actually play the kids.

Granted it's only round 3 but having 3 top 10 picks seemingly ready and raring to go seems a waste not to play them.

De Goey already earned a debut in round 1, whilst Moore and Freeman very vying for BOG last week in the VFL practice match.

Either hold them back 1 week more or get them in this week and give them a taste before the big Anzac day clash to come.

We need an added spark with youth often can provide come Anzac day if we are to have any hope against the spirited dons.

Agree - Those 3 can give a team a Spark.

Moore gave a huge spark to the VFL Team in 3rd Qtr of VFL Game

Along with possibly these three, surely Dwyer should get a run this week, we have missed his poise and smarts, underrated player in my opinon.

De Goey also trained with the seniors today:

He'd be training with the VFL team if he wasn't a chance to play...

I agree he is pretty consistent - I think his problem is he tends to fade out of games. Good for 3 qtrs, then disappears when you need him.

Always thought he's a good sub option.

Not sure we can afford that this week however if some of the newbies are set to debut. One of them likely gets the vest.

Looks like Riewoldt is also going to miss.

Moore vs McCartin?

Question marks over Riewoldt:

Riewoldt out there, seems to be moving ok with the left calf bandaged. McCartin, Templeton and Wright also training #AFLPiesSaints #AFL

Will likely be about how Riewoldt pulls up, two six-day breaks, game in QLD with NZ trip next week could be against him. #AFLPiesSaints #AFL

Big stage for McCartin debut if Riewoldt doesn't come up tomorrow. Saints' only Friday night game but Pies are vulnerable #AFLPiesSaints

Riewoldt in heavy consultation with Richo and Wallis (head physio) about the left calf #AFLPiesSaints

Riewoldt has shed the bandage and is trying to run it out, looks to be testing it out at high speed. Doesn't look convincing. #AFLPiesSaints

Expect McCartin to be named as an emergency. Feeling is they'll give Riewoldt until tomorrow to see how it feels. #AFLPiesSaints

Riewoldt one of the last out there. Sounds like he'll play unless he's sore tomorrow. Watch this space #AFLPiesSaints

McCartin kicked 4 last week in the VFL praccy match apparently.

Still I would have thought Brown would be his best match up with Frost to take Bruce, Toovey to Membrey.

Like the Pies with Pendles, the Saints will wait until the last minute to make a call on Riewoldt.

Would be good to see De Goey and Moore play, just don't want to overdo it and end up with another Josh Fraser - smashed by bigger bodies before they were really ready for it.

Why are you using reality when discussing Moore
He is the Messiah who will kick 10 goals on debut and win the Coleman and his first Brownlow this year.

Unless he does badly then he will quickly become trade bait. Rolling Eyes

Moore is not playing in the Ruck so his Body won’t get Smashed

He should be played as a flanker or on the wing. In 2 years his body should be right for a key position spot.

In: S.Dwyer, C.Gault
Out: A.Fasolo, B.Sinclair (hamstring)

Not Exciting Changes as Expected.

Dwyer is in as Kids are not Ready to take his Spot.

Gault has not done much in VFL Practise Games. Moore been way ahead of him

Fasolo has been dropped as I suspected, and replaced, not by Witts as I was hoping, but by Gault. Clearly Witts is not quite ready, but the main thing is we have a 3 pronged marking forward line which is good.

Dwyer is a good replacement for Sinclair, especially after being BOG in the VFL.

There's every chance Moore and De Goey will play on ANZAC day.
