Touch wood tonight is as bad as our injuries get ... hopefully get Howe and De Goey back next week. Moore has hardly played this season.

Hope that Howe is not in Liam Picken territory and will be back next week.

But I doubt JdG will be back next week. Next week, the hope is he can start a program of reloading. If that goes well, he may be 1-2 weeks off playing. If it goes badly, ...., well...

That third quarter represented Collingwood of 2014-2017 and was our worst performance since round 1.

I'm pleasantly surprised we got as close as we did in the last given it.

Outside of the obvious issues with injury I thought it was our two leaders in Pendlebury and Sidebottom who really let us down tonight while it's time for young Brown and Daicos to make way for more experienced options like de Goey, Fasolo or Aish.

Luckily Melbourne play West Coast and GWS.

Sydney play Melbourne and GWS and Hawthorn.

Port play Collingwood and Essendon.

With so many teams around the 8 playing one another, I think it ends up helping us a lot.

If we only beat one of Brisbane and Freo and otherwise highest ranked (ladder) teams win I have us finishing 9th on 13 wins.

Win 2 of the remaining 3 and I think we control our own destiny.

For mine, I still think Daicos stays in. He's slick with the footy and a strong tackler.

Bucks said in the presser they will look at both of them.

Agree. Has overtaken Brown for mine.

There's absolutely no reason why we can't win all three. The last month, we've had almost everything working against us and I think we managed to weather it quite well. I'd be happy if we don't play 1 or 2 down for the rest of the year. If that happens, we're in with a chance to win all three. We've struggled against Port for several years but I don't rate them as highly as some.

That question has never crossed my mind before.

Agreed; I forgot to mention that.
Just as well we aren't eligible for "in the back" frees like they are...

Sadly I fear our injuries have reached tipping point. I think we may struggle to win another game. Sixth tomorrow and in danger of missing finals now. We are being forced to play too many players who are not quite AFL ready. Moore has proved a disaster. Bucks has done an amazing job with this decimated list, but it’s finally caught up with us. Imagine having Howe, Treloar, De Goey, Elliott, Dunn and Goldsack instead of Brown, Daics, Madgen, Mihocek, Greenwood and Mayne. Any game we win from here on will be remarkable.[/b]

Actually, I Love Goldy but I reckon Mihocek is best 22 ahead of him, now. I’d have Brody M up forward in our next premiership team. He’s the new Leigh Brown. Mayne is also best 22, I’d say, on the basis of the last ten weeks work.

Brody didn't look comfortable down back tonight at all. He seems to be a lock down forward.

Smile Brody has been a bit of a find hasn't he. Mayne will have gained a lot out of his improvement this season. The player that has blown me away with his huge improvement has been WHE.

Bucks should've moved Mayne forward in the third quarter. He looked dangerous every time it went in late in the game. What a champ! I love what he brings!!!!!!!!!

It's interesting to note how many times Mayne has manage to hit the posts. It's not funny - if he can be so successful in hitting a post with deadly accuracy, maybe we should ask him to imagine a post in the middle and aim for it
