Correct me if I am wrong but hasn't Fevs wifes' family retired on the Gold Coast?

Don't be surprised to see a deal come wherein Fev plays one season for Lions and off to the GC he goes.

Wow! The Lions really got bent over in this one. To think they almost had the deal done for old man Dan and Risky Mick. Pick 12 and Lachie Henderson for that buffoon Shocked.

All I can say is, if this is how a noob coach behaves, I'm glad Bucks isn't coaching us yet. A very immature trade period for the Lions, reminiscent of a kid in a lolly shop just grabbing at anything. To top it off they panicked at the 11th hour and grossly overpaid for Fev.

I don't care that they stuffed up, but unfortunately they did make Carlton better. Giving them what they need (young KPP and a first round pick to replace the one they spent on McLean) when Cartlon was stupidly going to fold for far less.

Disagree. all they got is an untried KPP and a pick. The scum have lost a proven accurate goalkicker, 100 goal type, big booming kick, and a coleman medallist. Top FF do not grow on trees, they will miss the Fev on thier forward line a LOT, whose going to make up for 80 plus goals, little eddie betts ??? Confused

A guy on TalkingCarlton who is involved with the club (I think in the capacity of scouting the kids for drafting) has said Eddie was interested but the football department said no and we never actually made any offers for Fev at all.

Why didn't they just say that from the start like other clubs did?
