I agree totally that the side needs to improve, if we don't we can forget about the 8 let alone the top 4. I believe there are several players on our list who need to lift and/or improve if we are to be any good in 05 namely -

Cameron Cloke
Jason Cloke
Richard Cole
Leon Davis
Alan Didak
Brodie Holland
David King
Matthew Lokan
Ryan Lonie
Mark McGough
Luke Mullins
Bo Nixon
Shane O'Bree
Anthony Rocca
Julian Rowe
Rhyce Shaw
Luke Shackleton
Dane Swan
Tristen Walker

In my list assessment I pointed out some of the positive qualities of the players. The above list contains players whom I believe need to improve in various ways, some in terms of skill and others in terms of decision making and confidence. I agree that if we are stagnant other teams will pass us by, however I see nothing wrong with looking for the positive rather than focusing on the negative all of the time. Lokan certainly needs to step up, King needs more game time so that he can find out whether he cuts the mustard and Swan appears to have the makings of a reasonably solid back pocket player.

Dane Swan - could become a very solid BP player

Damien, you are right. Swan, King and Lokan as well as a few others are honest toilers at best. King may break through to play his part but I have my doubts over the other two. He has a bit of trade value - lets use it.
