It's dissapointing to hear MM to contine to use the "we were 15th last year...".
Well at the start of the year he expected to make the finals. It looks unlikely at this stage.
We're not a young side, we have limited injuries, so what's the excuse?

Was the person that started this thread the same Ben From Bentleigh who said on another board at half time against Hawthorn that "we are the worst team in the comp"

But who are we replacing him with? It's easy to say sack him, but who will be the man to replace him?

Brian Royal is the best current assistant coach - try him

or if you want an ex Collingwood player

Mick McGuane.

I doubt it would be Mick McGuane, nor do I think they would go with Brian Royal, unless he has the desire to leave and try his hand at coaching.

It is ludicrous for MM to say we were 15th last yr and hence we should be glad to be where we were at.

At the moment all this statement does is give the players an excuse.

A joke!

At the start of this season, we would have been more than happy to be 9-6 at this point. How dare MM state facts.

I am certainly happier being 6th then 16th, or even 15th.

It takes teams that have finished down near the bottom 2-3 years to rebuild and even get anywhere near the finals, we're currently there only a season after we had finished near the bottom.

No excuses he is just saying that we aren't yet a top four team, we all would have realised this at the start of the year.

I'd like to see MM show some character and step down at the end of this season, such a fall from grace for this side is purely a mental problem and therefore the coachs repsonsibility.

I've heard plenty of positive reports on McKenna, he may be worth a 2 year deal?

I actually believed that 2004 & 2005 were poor years due to our run of injuries, what did you think? that the team lost the ability to play football overnight?

I thought it was injuries and poor form, with the injuries we really didn't have anyone to replece the guys that were playing badly. We started off well, but that has gone down hill, some want to blame injuries, but that isn't the sole reason for poor form.

We need to find a way to get the forward line firing as well as the rest.

It's simple, it's been shown that we aren't good enough to be Top 4 when we've been flogged by Melbourne, Richmond, and we weren't good enough against Freo.

I woudl have been happy 9-6 as well but the reality is we were 9-3 and we have been belted by 10 goals in three of our last 4 defeats and couldnt beat Freo on our soil.

Making excuses by saying we were 15th last yr and so I have done a great job this year is nothing short of 'spin' to keep the punters happy.

Does the word FACTS mean anything to you dude?

You tell me then what FACTS are wrong with what MM has said?

Do you want him to blatantly bloody lie? Say that we are THE BEST team in the comp but due to the drugs running out, or the jumpers being too tight or them eating the wrong food or whatever, Collingwood have struggled over the past few weeks?.. Rolling Eyes
