You blokes miss the point. As soon as Buckley retires some team will want him as a caoch or asistant because of his charisma.

Buckley will coach. He wants to coach.

As soon as he moves to another club, we will have lost control of what he does.

With Malthouse there, he can't be hard coach of Collingwood so your Ratten and Willaims arguements fall flat.

In fact the Daniher, Thomspon, Harvey (all favourite sons) arguements are stronger because as Sheedy was at Essendon for 27 years, none of those players got to coach Essendon and had to move to other clubs.

Once at the other club, they no longer are property of the club they played for. Same as Leigh Mattews. is that what you want for Buckley?

I think once Buckley retires he should be able to move on and do what is best for himself, He has given his heart and soul to Collingwood as a player and he owes us jack squat. What I want for Buckley is to see him have success that he deserves in life, that he enjoys his time with his wife and raises a successful (hopefully in footy) Son. Of ocurse I would love to see him coach Collingwood one day but if he finds success elsewhere then more power to him.

Using your reakoning we should be chasing Choc next year for a coach, after all he was Collingwood Captain and Copeland winner, not only that if he did come accross and coach us he would be a life member in his first year! How much more Collingwood do you want than that?

Cheers

Dave, I reckon you should be on the selection committee. You are one Collingwood supporter who is "real" and is smart enough to work out the cream from the curdled milk. Keep your ideas coming. Nicks is all the better for it.

So you want to throw Buckley into coaching despite he himself saying he was not ready nor wanted to enter in so soon? Are you mentally impaired? If we were to have Buckley as a coach he best serve under someone and then coach.

I'd say he has a lot to offer as an assistant to a senior coach at Collingwood, much like Rowdy has. But since you are a mindless troll, G.under you won't catch on to fast, your typing is starting to slip boy, look at all your typos.

Lift your game son.
