thanks for taking the advice on board dave and making this thread.

dave i dont agree with being too cocky.

my thoughts;

Clearances have turned our season on its head.
It starts from not having two ruckmen.
We need a new one and i suggest while we get a young kid from the draft we quickly get a makeshift that can slot in for 3-4 years.
Jamie Charman, i believe we go after.

Clearances is the key.

Foley and Tuck alone had more clearances than the club put together.

I posted numerous times during the week..."stop foley stop richmond"....If I can see this as a guy who has never played competitive footy and knows little about the tactics of the game.....where was the planning for him last night?

I'm sure there was a lot of planning. The problem was the execution.

No he kicked the first two goals and fizzed a bit but they didn't need him down back so he was a bit of a luxury.

If Collingwood won some clearances then Bowden wouldve been destroyed by Rocca. Rocca beat him whenever he got the chance...but when the opposition has 100 more possessions than you, then they have the luxury of stacking their forward line.

They wouldve needed Polak down back if we got the ball.

Richmond had 118 possessions more to be precise.

"Tempo" footy.

Thats what I mean they had the ball, they kept the ball using "Tempo" footy. That is why their stats on possessions are high. As soon as we got infront in the 3rd quarter, they slowed the game down to another pace and we flooded back and they took their time and picked their marks.

We were a dead fish in the water.

Clearances are important but so is the ability to play"Tempo" footy.

The goal they kicked when we were 6 behinds in front in the 3rd quarter was the most important of the match. They got it using"Tempo" footy.

I said that to my mate....I said if Richmond kick the next goal it will hurt us badly. We were dominating but blowing easy shots on goal. Letting them kick that goal was the writing on the wall

Lucuria - he is a senior leader and his kick was a game braker.

Result, hang your head.
