Tannin, I say I can't be bothered (or 'fagged' as I put it) because I don't have time rebutting every single poster who disagrees with me (which when debating, you should). But I'll go through it once because I like you Wink , before that Didak incident I honestly felt we could beat any other team on its day - genuine flag material. We were at our best, an incredibly difficult side to beat. We are not now and haven't been the same since that incident.

Didak cannot (it is apparent his demeanour has changed) be his cocky arrogant self anymore on the football field. That attitude he brings lights up our forward line. Didak playing well lifts Leon, lifts Medhurst, lifts Cloke, gets Rocca bashing packs just that bit harder. He hasn't shown much since, so it has affected him. I hope for our sake he refinds that form as he lifts 21 other blokes. I do acknowledge he isn't near 100% fit.

It broke our club for this year (irrelevant factor next year, touch wood). It showed not all players were 100% focused on the main prize. It opened our club up to the media in a negative way. It stopped the focus being solely on our genuine top 4 tilt.

Maybe it is a coincidence we started showing chinks in our armour at that point in time, but that is my take on it.

It is why Fremantle are so inconsistent (Farmer)
It is why Sydney have taken so long to look convincing (Everitt)
It is why the WB don't have the same never say die attitude (Akermanis)
It is why Carlton are where they are (Fevola)

Didak's actions were 'cancerous'. Let's hope our club ensures it does not spread. I hope they don't, but I do think they have derailed our year. I honestly do hope I'm wrong and we have a strong finals series.

Sorry for bringing it up again.

Moronic thread. It's a perfectly valid article, as newspaper footy articles go, and reasonably insightful. What would you prefer to read? Go on, say what that article should have said, seeing as you think it is so bad.

Exactly and the journo is a life long Pie supporter so he may have formed such an opinion from watching us play rather than geting his pearls of wisdom solely from the wonderful land of cyberspace!

Journalist and Dole bludger are very similar...You write a story/make up jobs you have applied for. Then people have a crack at you for being a dickhead/pretending to go for jobs.

I think these social paracites, journalists before dole bludgers I might add, should take a hard look at themselves and stop writing the complete and utter bullshit they put to print.

Yobbo, a former Queensland Premier, the infamously corrupt Joh Bjelke-Petersen, once said: "If only we could get rid of all the media. Then we could all live in peace and tranquillity and no one would know anything" (my italics).

If that's the world you want to live in, perhaps you should move to a fascist state, where the media is controlled. Then you won't have to be bothered by opinions like Jake Niall's, who is a Collingwood supporter, by the way.

An interesting point of view, Ah Tibor. Thankyou for outlining it. One to ponder.

All we need is the first 2-3 goals to get us up and about. Too often we get spanked from the first bounce. Switch on and watch the whole team lift.
