We're taking Collingwood to the world and we should be pretty proud. A club that was formed in a down trodden suberb some 116 years ago is the only club in Australia that could do it.
Lets take the Collingwood way on the road..let's share what we've been given Wink

Of course we'll have to refurbish our MCG. Once the Japanese fall in love with the Collingwood way they will hit our home games in droves. We'll add a couple of decks to the Ponsford..it's very exciting!

Footy's been nurturing along for over 20 years in Japan, given impetus when visas for foreign workers became more freely available only a few short years ago, and you'll all remember the Dons giving a Japanese laddie a bit of a training run last season (or perhaps the year before?).

There's even a Magpies team running around based at the Komazawa University.

There seems to be a bit of a licence to stage the game to suit playing arenas and player availability, and in getting the game greater popularity I guess that's fair enough.

"Japan Orstorarianfttoborl society

The Orstorarianfttoborl experience association in Tochigi Prefecture was held on Saturday, February 16. 13 people of the gathering around the member of society.
A hand passing, a kick, and immediate Baunshing, etc. were practiced because it became accustomed to an oval bowl now of the explanation of an easy game.
shape..peculiar..play..puzzle..all..do..very..progress..early.
By the time the game of the game form can be done by becoming good fast at the end.
It became the content of the game of the domestic league losing of the goal etc. after it tied to the tackle, the air fight, and the kick by the hand at a dash."

This is an extract of a report on getting an AFL team together in the Tochigi area.

Love the description of a mark being referred to as an 'air fight'! Laughing

Sharing has nothing to do with it. It's plain robbery. Play all our away games in Japan? It's wrong. It isn't the true Collingwood way to take things away from its loyal members.

Yes well, what is a joke for some is a threatened way of life for others.

Away games in Japan, thanks a lot. Rolling Eyes
