So is the average supporter not allowed to take a camera into the ground? Or is it that they just pick-out the "professional" looking cameras???

We're paying enough to get into the game, you'd think we'd be allowed to take some photos!!!

And the photo gallery these days sucks. The Collingwood and AFL sites used to have some fantastic photos. You could go to individual player profiles and there was a huge list of photos, audio and video stuff. Would like to know where it's all gone!

GO PIES!
Marg

MargOz, a simple point-and-shoot camera is easy enough to hide and get by the security. However, a camera bag the size of a small suitcase is difficult to sneak in.

Being freelance, I'm not associated with any official media outlet so I had to risk leaving my gear with security. I decided to go home rather than run the risk of losing anything. Besides, I wouldn't have been able to enjoy the game not knowing where my camera gear was.

Flounder, from FTO, seems to have some official capacity at CFC, explaining why they have photos on that site.

I'll still post my photos on this site until I'm told otherwise.

That is bluddy disgusting if an amateur is not allowed to take their camera in, be it a cheap throw away or something with all the bells and whistles...

What right have the AFL to say who can and cannot take pics.

The next time any of you are at Colonic, look for the painted sign stating 'No Cameras Allowed', or something similar. I think most other grounds would have similar 'exclusions'.

Now that I know, I no longer go.

Besides, I am more than happy to attend Williamstown games and take photos. I like to think it is my way of supporting the future of CFC.

PS. Bones, as the AFL own the game, they therefore own anything to do with the game, and this includes images. At least that was what I was told.
