Hang on - you aren't involved with the university at all are you? I just started there last week (on the Caulfield campus)!

Yes, I teach there. I was actually wondering whether you might turn up in one of my classes later on down the track. Quite a lot of journalism students take my subjects as electives. However I would prefer to continue this conversation by PM rather than in this thread.

Nah, Amazon marketplace is great. I pick up heaps of books there. Great service. Even Ebay isn't too bad.

Is posting on Nicks too late at night a valid reason for an extension on an essay?

Dr. Pie, please check David cites fellow Nicksters properly when he submits his papers.

"According to Kingswood, fidelity is an oppressive fiction peddled by those who would constrain the natural urges of men (Kingswood, 2010). jack_spain concurs, adding that the state reinforces this oppression by assuming prima facie that masculinity is a corrupt expression of humanity (jack_spain, 2010), though this position has been vigorously opposed by critical theoreticians (so Pied Piper, 2008; 2009; 2010; watt price tully, 2010b). It has, however, received substantial support from the social realism school (culprit, 2009; stui magpie, 2010)."

Razz

Out of curiosity, what is the proper convention for citing pseudonymous web posts?

And it's a nice little way around that pernicious GST. A tax on books and learning. Bastards!

Love your post Pietillidie. I urge my students to exercise great caution when quoting from websites but obviously Nick's qualifies as a great scholarly site - particularly when analysing Mick Malthouse's coaching.
