Wayne Jackson will step down soon anyway.......needs to focus on his tractor and stuff.......

The reality is the MCG rarely gets filled.......there are block busters but most people who want to watch the game can. Compared to sports around the world AFL is still very cheap for the product that you receive.

However i definately agree about the view from the middle deck of the ponny and the old southern stand it was brilliant. The Southern Stand at present is too steep and its like watching the game from a helicopter on the fourth level.

But surely someone will or already has fallen down those tiny little steep stairs....

The new stand will have well spaced seats.....I say cram them in like sardines and get the capacity too 120k...as Bruce would say that would be "special"

Serious the guy near me had a heart attack at one of the night matches, and I'm only on the first tier and I thought he was going to topple over the edge.

The sun in the eyes factor is the worst aspect of the southern stand - especially at around 3pm. Argghhhh. I used to love to sit right in the front row, on the wing in the northern stand... soo much leg room and you get to party amongst the rubbish that filters down at 5pm.
