John Mccarthy's manager has been quite busy. Seems clubs are interested and John is considering a move.

Could not see Collingwood holding him back in any way. A 2nd or 3rd round pick would be all he is worth on the market one would think.

Apparently the Dogs are denying the Cooney is on offer, I am not sure who would trade for a guy with knee problems, but there is always Freo. Wink

I'm happy for him to find a new home, good luck Jmac.

Would always be a fringe player here and may get somemore gametime elsewhere.

Take a 3rd rounder for him.

Ryan Crowley is a very underated footballer but turns 28 before the season starts

Daniel Connors best of the bunch but was injured all last year and may have disciplie issues, finished of 2010 very, very, very well

I dont think we can afford any of these players anyway

We turned around Leigh Brown's career, could maybe to the same for Setanta in the same role. Already has a bit of mongrel about him too which is always good to have in the forward line/backup ruckman.

With the Salary Cap squeeze, I doubt we'll get any senior guys chasing any half decent $.

If we lose Toovey because of $50k, I doubt we have any room.

Crowly would be handy, but he'd want too much $ to fit our Cap.

We'll be reduced to pick up a senior player on base salary looking for a 2nd/3rd chance to resurrect a career (ala L.Brown). Or an unkown yet to play seniors. We can get these guys through trade or possibly a late draft picks.

Fev would be a current example. .......... any nibbles? Wink

Matthew Bate as that 3rd tall forward perhaps.. is versatile enough to take stints in the midfield too
