Good win. There's a huge upside to this side with so many good players to come back in,so things are looking up.The only real downside was Cloke. His form is a real worry to say the very least.

Cotchin 5 free's for - no one else was held around the stopapges obviously. What a protected species. J Thomas was held at every stoppage in the last quarter and he got nothing, Cotchin gets frees just because he complains. Cloke gets nothing, Rievoldt acts better than Gweneth Paltrow and he gets a gold logie, I mean 2 frees.

Cloke should just play for frees all game, he might actually get one and who knows he could get a free goal or two as well!

Started to play some Collingwood footy tonight. Tooves added some steel to the backline. Faz used the ball well but had a snooze in the last. Maxy was good. Wiits, White and Elliott did enough. Young was pretty good too. Beams was sensational, Pendles terrific and Swanny started to get some classy touches. All things considered, 2-2 is a reasonable position considering the draw and injuries.

Oh, and White as the third tall = much better!! Cloke will bounce back but I loved White as the third tall and Witts looked good playing forward, even high forward, which I did not expect. Very promising signs and should keep his spot.

Positives:

Beams BOG. 30 Touches and 3 Goals.
Pendles was class above as Usual
Fasolo was good kicking out of Defense
Elliot was Awsome. Could become another Paul Chapman
MaCaffer Murded Cotchin

Negatives:

Cloke Sucked Again
Langdon look lost and turned the ball over
Ball Use still Sloppy at times
Set Shots still need to Improve
Last Qtr let Tigers kick to many goals

Other Thoughts:

Grundy and Witts worked well together
White had a Very Solid Game
Frost was Solid but Still got few kicked on him
Tigers had help from Scumps. What is Holding the Ball?
Swan looked better but still looked a bit out of Touch

Pretty good win and sets up the weekend nicely. Now come in the Dees.

Team effort but great contributions from White, Caff, Frost, Maxy and as usual Beams and Pendles, impressed with Wittsy as well. Pretty good 3 weeks against teams that played finals and with players to come back and a few with a bit if upside we are doing well.

Enjoy the weekend all

Good win!

Turnover in the last aside, I really like Fasolo's kicking. Really good vision and low, penetrating passes. He might be alright on the HBF!

Nice to get the 4 points. Shame about conceding 7 goals in the last though.

Now go Dees to make my week.

From tonight;
A win
No injuries
More game time into Grundy, Witts, Langdon & Frost
First run for Josh Thomas
Improvement from Young, Fasolo, White
Better signs from Swan
The tagging role of Macaffer is now cemented.
Cloke blanketed, but we still win well & score over 100
Much to be pleased about. Go Pies.

Yeah, C'mon Dees! I tried (but couldn't work out how) to upload a pic my sister sent me of Mick and Eddie shaking hands with the caption We did it! We destroyed carlton! Wink

Go Dees!

Happy with that.

Pendles is a genius, Beamer a Rolls Royce (is that a contradiction?) and MaCaffer a nasty day/nights work for any highly regarded footballer.

I was rapt with Jesse Whites' game (he worked his backside off and got rewarded for it) Frosty again was stoic and a special mention to Clinton Young and Luke Ball. One for polish and one for grunt...you work out which was which.

My only downside was listening to Tom Harley squealing against the Caff's tactics tonight. The same prick was singing Guthries praises last week and hero worships Cameron Ling who made a career out of using the exact same tactics as Caff. Friggin Geelong hypocrite.

Bloody hell we have some work to do to match the best

We win by more than six goals and Bucks out-coaches Hardwick and you are still not happy. It was a quite wet night and the defence worked well until a lapse in the last quarter, remembering they are mostly very young players with a minimum of match experience.

There were many so called experts that suggested we would be without a win after the first five games, and we are now 2 and 2, so the boys are trying and if they keep that going then the improvement will come.

But Bloody Hell, we WON the match and they played Side by Side, so enjoy if you are capable of it.
