my friend said that he thinks you've got it all covered.

If you want to watch a collingwood game while there, here's what he suggested

Thanks guys. Really appreciate the tips.

I'm a bit too long in the tooth to be staying out all hours & these days & like going to bed early & getting up really early when I travel. You get see a lot in the early hours & a different part of life: the streets can be so different, check out local breakfast places, etc.

Getting up early is good. Up in Port Douglas, the main village you'd be forgiven for thinking it was like out of a book with never a stray leaf.

Get up and go for a walk to the beach at 6:30 am and there's the people out weeding naturestip garden's, leaf blowers furiously blowing away rubbish, the guy with the gurni cleaning the bat shit off the statue etc, so by 8:30 when people are wandering out for breakie the joint is spic and span.
