A good win. Disappointing last quarter, but doesn't take too much of the gloss off.
Langdon was terrific again. Could be the best player we've drafted over the last two years.
Elliott is just about our most polished player at the moment. Very good game.
Goldsack's pressure was fantastic, the rest of the team not too far behind. Blair was good too, his best game of the year.
I think that last quarter, like it did against Richmond, showed why Brown must play in this defense. Keeffe and Frost were both beaten in almost every contest. When the ball comes in quickly and you have tired, young players, they're going to struggle. Imagine this scenario in finals against quality teams.

Disappointing last quarter but we were terrific for the first 3.
For us the defense was great, Jamie Eliiott is a gun, Witts is developing wonderfully and our depth is just terrific.
For Carlton, Daisy is a bust and MM is a 0-3 to Bucks.
I'll take 5-2 every day of the week considering our draw. |

| Could have smashed them, but heading to the bye at 5-2 is a bloody good effort. Putting the cue in the rack against the tigers, roos & now blues is a bad habit they need to rid themselves of. But I'm sure they will. |

Im happy, despite the last qtr fade. we had around nine senior guys out, our backs were decimated, yet held them for most of the game. If someone said to me, considering our outs, wed win by five id take it no worries, we did well and now the bye, get a nice rest, im happy.

Awful last qtr. Made the scoreline flatter the scum.
Having said that....
First 3 quarters were awesome. Manic pressure, Daisy embarrassed, Langdon will be really stiff not to get a rising star nomination this week, he was best on ground imo.
Witts and Grundy going from strength to strength. Warnock was beaten comprehensively, and the boys second efforts and work at ground level defy logic for guys their size. They will be a ridiculous combo in a couple of years.
Really pleased with the games of all the youngsters, however Ben Ken's decision making needs a bit of work. |

A valid point particularly as the pressure dropped off in the midfield which helped the blues move the ball into the forward line with more fluency. However we were without Tooves and Maxy as well.
Right now you can't see Brown coming back in unless either Frost or Keeffe are taken to the cleaners or touch wood injury.

That's another defensive 7 right there and I'm not even considering Scharenberg, Oxley and Broomhead.
