Very satisfying. Glad you mention Keeffe, Donny—he played really well tonight after being bagged by all and sundry a fortnight ago. Expected a good win against the Saints, but I think this was pretty impressive.

Young BOG for me.

Yes, Keeffe and Langdon were both very good down back. Frost was ok but got a bit lost on Reiwoldt a few times. Helped out better in the second half with Young, especially, cutting off a number of leads.

Is his disposal that bad in the .ressies, usually ? If not, it is probably just nerves, and the best thing we could do is back the kid and give hima. Chance to feel he belongs, without tightening up every time he has it. He can get it, which is good. If his disposal is that bad in the Maggos., then we have a real problem... Jeez, it wasn't good.

I've only seen a couple of games and from what I've seen, his disposal is pretty average. Scrubs a lot of short to mid length kicks that a professional player should be hitting the mark 9 times out of 10.

Hate to cover old ground, but Kyle Martin would've nailed all those shots on goal. Hopefully he gets a run on Queens Birthday again.

Kyle Martin isn't capable of playing the position Adams did tonight.

In the few VFL games I've seen he's been really good. His disposal has never been really flash, but tonight was something else. May have been a case of trying too hard and thinking too much. I don't think he thought it would be this hard to crack a game in the ones Confused

What position is that? Charging forward and missing 3 sitters?

In and under getting the ball out of the bottom of packs with no regard for his personal safety. It's something he does well and it's an important role. Martin is a very different type of player.

His disposal will be fine. He's an inside crash and bash player, not a finesser. Just needs to develop the smarts to make better decisions ala a Luke Ball. He's going to need to play better than he did tonight to earn a spot in the team though. Ball and Thomas are both clearly ahead at the moment.

His disposal last week in the reserves was chalk and cheese compared to tonight's effort.

Glad we could finally put a side away and get some much needed percentage. Absolutely rapt with the win but it was done on the back of 2 goal sprees rather than a solid 4 quarter effort - something we will need to address against the better sides.
Great to see the run of Seeds back and Thomas looked right at home. Beams played a blinder and Young was very important. But I continue to marvel at Marley - that kid has loads of talent!

7-3 in the top 4 now and our % on the way up.
After rd1 if someone had offered you this who would have said no thanks ? Certainly not me.
Adding our outs Reid, Maxy (basically an out), Swan, Grundy, Brown, Ball again only adds merit to where our list is at.
Beams was absolutely outstanding tonight half his possessions where contested.
Interesting stat tonight that he has had 30+ in 35 of his 101 games (G.Ablett had 23 in nis first 101 gsmes and Pendles had 25 in his first 101 gsmes) a very telling stat and he also kicked our 30,000th league goal at the Coventry end ! And they say there is no god.
Young played his best game as a magpie. He has a telling kick when his on.
Seedsman showed why we need him somewhere in the 22 come September. This kid may be our best kick.
Langdon and Frost very good again and Keefe came back well after his last start.
White showed he is our 2nd ruck man so either Witts or Grundy will be missing. Sounds harsh but we looked so much more balanced tonight.
Thomas was good.
Fas 4 goals when we needed them.
Trav oh Trav where have you been. He got up the ground more tonight and shoes why he is a beast.
Elliot just keeps on showing why he is so important to our set up.
Adams looked a little lost but I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt basing it on nerves. I like this kid and hope he gets a few more games.
Witts looked very good tonight think he relished the extra workload

Overall happy we won don't care how it looked really. At the first bounce we had 1 player over 30 we are a young side and losing Swanny before the game made us even younger.
4 points bagged % boosted 10 day break life is good.

After Maxy went out, the "young" Saints had 6 players over 30, we had 0.

Gotta be happy with that, took us a long time to really get going, but in the end we smashed the bastards good and proper. Real team effort, cloke back in biz, some really good signs, finally a huge win, and my beloved percentage goes up nicely, thank you very much. Yeah, im happy, top win in the end, great stuff.!
