We can afford him and worth the pick up as Reid is a liability.

If we want a cut price alternative to Frawley then perhaps we should target Pears from Essendon.

I thought he was a decent enough defender a couple of years back, looked better than Hooker at the time but is now seemingly out of favour at the dons.

He only stands 191cm (Frawley 193cm) so that is his biggest drawback I guess as a key defender going forward.

Would only have just turned 25 at the start of next season.

Forgetting someone?

Langdon is currently 12th in the AFL for Rebound 50s, 37th for Marks and has average of 18.7 disposals.

How could I forget him. He's been an incredible find for us and will be the future of the club. Should win the rising star award.

I like our current set up too and have great faith in their ability but I still think that one more experienced key defender wouldn't go astray because once Maxwell goes we'll lose a hell of a lot of experience and Brown may or may not feature as regularly as we'd like due to ongoing injuries. Even if it's for the purpose of adding that extra bit of experience down back. Yes we have enough guys who can pinch hit and potentially play a role if needed but I'm talking about someone who can lock down a key defender. That might be the difference to winning a flag i.e hawthorn with Lake. Has our backline minus Maxwell and Brown got what it takes to take us to a flag between now and 2016?

Tomlinson from Giants. A massive Pies fan growing up, and not happy up there. Who would be. Much prefer him. Been in the system for a couple now and cherry ripe.

Tomlinson: 193cm, 92kg and in his third year after breakout season. From the Giants site... If Tomlinson’s first year in 2012 was a little disappointing as he adjusted to life at AFL level, it was quickly forgotten in a stunning campaign in 2013. Featuring in 17 games, he topped the club with 127 marks for the year, including a club-record 14 against Adelaide in round seven. Averaging 16 touches for the season, his size, athleticism and versatility make him a nightmare match-up for opposition sides. - See more at: http://www.gwsgiants.com.au/player-profile/adam-tomlinson#sthash.PbcLIl2o.dpuf

Sounds like a perfect fit but what would it cost us? Draft picks, players?

Firstly, lets not forget Adam Oxley. This kid can play, 192 cm and is a great overhead grab.

Secondly, I agree that this draft is supposed to be the one with a surfeit of quality talls so it's time to load up on big blokes.

I wouldn't take a key back from another club unless we did it on the Hudson premise.

The ridiculous price tag has been denied by his management.

We should move heaven and earth to get him to the Club, he could win a Normie in his first year with us a-la Lake.

Reid would eat Frawley for breakfast. Besides Frawley will be demanding overs and we don't need him that much to pay more than he's worth.

Now we're talking.

And if we're going to grab a Melbourne defender, much prefer Garland.

Sadly, neither Tomlinson or Garland fit into the FA window.
