Gutsy but not pretty but still 4 points none the less.
Beams was outstanding
Adams best game for the club
Broomhead looks to be a real player of the future
Keefe was good
Pendles well he's Pendles always leads by example
Cloke came good when needed just wished he had kicked that goal after the mark of the weekend
Armstrong was good for his first game
Sidey kicked a couple of important goals thank god
Overall our pressure was great and if we can improve on that each week from here to our season ends we will set up our next season well.
Can't wait for the "perceptive fellow" brigade to come in now and bemoan this win. Can see it now we didn't win port were robbed we got lucky Yadda Yadda Yadda

Go the pies

I have no doubt in my mind that umpires are cheats .. how Pendles was not given a free straight in front is unexplainable yet they picked up ins similar to Port later on

That Nichols is a low life bald headed thing.
That is all.

Must also say, how dumb was that Port bloke at the end? Late in the game, 2 goals down and he walks back and kicks it like he normally would, no urgency and cost them any chance of having a genuine crack at a miracle

I wonder what all those "perceptive fellow" geniuses pumping up Hinkely as a coach are thinking now, he just got outcoached by Bucks. ! LOL

Good to get the win against the odds. But let's be honest Port have reverted to their pre-Hinkley form. Tony Armstrong surprised me, so well done there young man.

Sidebottom and Beams were great. Cloke was good, although the delivery to him was generally poor.

Overall we probably should have won by five goals, but we'll take that.

Port though were nothing short of pathetic and will be lucky to hold onto a finals spot.

Gerald Healy just awarded Hartlett of Port best on the ground. What a joke!

Butchered the ball all night
strangely armstrong had 17 disposals
at 100% effective
sidey is an elite runner
pity about his kicking
Good weekend 2 wins in
the afl and vfl.

Well done boys!

Plus the Scum lost, it's gonna be a good week!

What was lucky about it?

Good win bye the pies. Found a way. And after 2 months of horrid form it was definitely a step in the right direction.

Still too many turnovers , esp from our more experienced players but over all there was plenty to like about it.

Don't worry about form, had they won today they were top 4 material, and we just topped them and that fact shouldn't be taken away from our boys who just guts it out.

Inclusion of Armstrong ended up having more merit than many thought......did I just hear 100% efficiency ?

Adams, best game for us. Still turns it over but he'll improve with age.

Great game cloke, beams, pendles and to the entire backline who although make their share of mistakes give their all week end week out and I thought they were pretty sound tonight.

Go pies, back in the 8, it's your spot to lose now.

Really proud of the effort today

Good guts and hard work

Armstrong can kick, we need that

Beams was terrific, Cloke busted his boiler

White...not a fan

No negatives from me this week apart from that - just needed a win by hook or by crook

That was exactly what we were hoping for.
Toughed it out and got the win
Very pleasing to see.
