Not many indigenous players are spuds, this is quite rare, even for us.

Our club will have a story written about us soon, calling us racists for only having one indigenous player on the list and no indigenous staff.

Robbie AhMat deserves a mention.

Too true. Was just going of the top of my head, may well have missed others.

Yeah, it wasn't a shock, but jayzuz, the guy put in every week without getting a call up. Coulda been different, and PS: Is it smart to be delisting guys when the VFL side is about to play finals???

Does anyone want to break the news? I'm not sure if I can do it. Crying or Very sad

I guess he wasn't at the game then? Didn't even look up the results?

He was probably too busy typing another of his stream of consciousness posts to get around to seeing how the twos fared.

It didn't stop him automatically questioning the clubs logic even when he was woefully uninformed. Bless him Laughing

You are certainly missing a bit of Magic of the Leon variety,

Spud would be harsh. Was a good player, had some skills, just not AFL level.

Plenty of Aboriginal and white and everything else players who fit that description.

He was better than Corrie. Hell he is probably worth more than Jesse White.

True, but I guess we get pretty excited about indigenous players, perhaps its the Michael long, buddy, Burgoyne syndrome, and when they fail, its pretty surprising. guess I did forget about egan, corrie, ahmat, and a few of those others though. Confused

I was highlighting a few indigenous players who hadn't established themselves at the Pies. Leon and Krak are exceptions to that cohort. Dicky probably to. Wouldn't go as far as to classify them as spuds, all had talent, just didn't cut the mustard at elite level AFL.

I will miss him, I liked watching him play. He impressed me and I reckon he should have been given more time in the main team - especially this year. i hope he kicks on somewhere else.

Writing was on the wall when Ramsay started to get the quick small forwards in the VFL and then given the talls.

Yags couldn't run with them as a defender while Ramsay was showing he could play on both smalls and talls
