**** him. He's not one of us. So he's against us.

Boo away people!

I'm sorry for the ignorance but what did Beams say on social media as I'm unaware of this?

I feel the same - up until tonight I really felt for him. He is enemy number 1 right now.

Is it just me or does it seem that the club are just glorified babysitters? So juvenile.

It was on instagram. Just checked, looks like he's deleted his responses.

Was just being a massive arsehole to fans asking where he was tonight. There was no need for it. Very disappointing.

Defender, for one of the first times ever, I agree with you!!

To be honest my feelings are that if he leaves, as looks certain based on his non-appearance tonight and it comes to light that there's far more going behind the scenes than his dad's health then stuff him, he will be the enemy.

if it's all legit I don't see the point in booing him. Actually I'm not much of an incessant booer anyway!!

The pills a re working then, glad to hear it.

I know that his recent actions have been very disappointing especially with him turning down the offer to attend the Copeland Trophy tonight but I just can't find it in my heart to boo him for some reason.

I think he's been an awesome player for the club since he debuted back in 2009 and his dedication to the contest is unquestionable. He earned a lot of respect from me after he withdrew himself from playing in the 2011 Grand Final due to an injury and the fact that he gave up the opportunity to play in another Grand Final showed how much the club meant to him.

I'm saddened by this recent situation as it's very likely that he won't be playing for us next year but I can't help but appreciate the effort he has made on the footy field since he started playing for the club back in 2009. Whatever happens, I hope Beams is happy with his new destination and we get the compensation that we deserve in return for the loss of his services.

Jezza spoken with your usual common sense approach.
Personally I would never boo him or any other former collingwood premiership player especially now with the free agency and mega trade deals clubs do.
Loyalty is a 2 way street and clubs have proven they will do whatever it takes to get the best result they can for themselves so why shouldn't players.
If Dayne was out on the drink in Melbourne instead of attending the Copeland then it's very poor form. Everyone on here knows I'm a family friend and have been his biggest defender during this but people are right in saying its disrespectful to the club and his team mates.
There are reports that photo was taken 2 weeks ago and I hope this is the case.
I sincerely hope he just made a very poor decision or was ill advised by his management not to attend.

This. Plus I will throw in some barbs about his 2010 exploits. Fck him, too good for his mates hey. Dead to me.

To me there is nothing lower than a bloke who doesn't stand by his mates.

Hahahahahaha I missed it but now I'm intrigued! I remember re Daisy your reply of "no because I'm not 5!' Therefore, I'd love the juicy goss that changed your mind!

Cheers Mandy!

I'm sick of booing players. It's a free world isn't it? We sound like we'd love to behead a few past players. Rolling Eyes

And I wonder why he'd reject such a "successful" tribe as us? I'm truly shocked he doesn't want to go to Hawthorn. Shocked Razz Wink

I'd have more respect for him if he wanted to go to a club for something other than money. He obviously wants to be a big fish in a small pond. He'd have to earn his keep at Hawthorn, or if he stayed at Collingwood, hence the move "back home".

Seriously getting tiresome, your hawthorn obsession, feel free to switch allegiance, or maybe your just trolling here anyway.
