the coach that took o premiership team to 11th place remains !!!!!! last year its was the culture, this year it was the injuries next year it will be the grass at the mcg |

History tells us the vast majority of great coaches show themselves within 1-3 years, Buckley is actually getting worse going by results, sure there's a few exceptions to my first point but not many, the odds are against Buckley becoming a great coach.
I hope he proves me wrong, but next year has to be his last if improvement isn't made.

| Give Buckley one more year where we hit rock bottom and he will soon join the list. at this rate it will take 10 years to re buld a team. Players dont like Buckley. |

Give it time. I predict that next year Eddie will extend Buckley's contract for another five years because (although we finish in the bottom four) Buckley is the man to take our young list to the top. Mark my words.

That won't happen CD. I think even though we are very likely to miss finals at least for next year, it's highly unlikely we'll finish bottom 4, and if we did - there is no way on earth even Eddie could justify renewing Bucks contract.
The problem as I see it is everyone and their dog, knows we are rebuilding and our coach might slip through to another 3 year contract on the back of a few average performances and more excuses.
I have no problem with our club extending his contract on the following proviso - he himself shows definitive improvement in his coaching skills and his ability to 'think' around game day dilemmas.
The decision must be based on his skills alone and not just where our 'list' is at. It must be unbiased and there is no room for romance.

No contract extension talk until the year is finished. Even if we're flying at 14-0, let's just focus on football for a $£$%^%%$ change. I am sick of the distractions that we create unnecessarily. No player contract, nothing, just 26 weeks of focussing on football.
For a change, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!
