I understand the limp-wristed bit, but what is a bad news brown?

The deal does intrigue me in one respect. Until now those who can't get Foxtel have had limited choices:
- we buy an AFL Pass and watch on our phones or tablets
- we buy a VPN and and an AFL overseas pass and stream to our TV
- go to a club and watch for free

From what I read this morning, I get the impression we can watch on our Macs or PCs with an AFL Pass come 2016. This appears to be a new aspect of the deal and applies to Telstra or any other carrier. Does this mean I will be able to stream to my TV using Apple TV or will that still be blocked somehow?

Great sense of humour guys, some of you would be great audience members at stand up gigs,

And if some bothered to read the paper they would know that the afl is planning on putting a lot of money into grassroots footy, looking at ways to make footy more affordable for fans, and getting Etihad back so that Collingwood can stop propping up clubs on shitty stadium deals there

Making the footy more affordable is a good start. I'd still like to see them make more Grand Final tickets available to members of the competing clubs though. The idea of casual viewers and people connected to non competing clubs being at the GF while so many members of the competiting clubs miss out is unfair. I know they can't accommodate every one but an increase would be a nice gesture.

I read somewhere, the Age i think, that the A.F.L live pass will be restricted to Telstra only customers from 2017 onwards. If that's true, then it's a ridiculous move from the A.F.L.It's only going to restrict the public's access to the games, and drive more and more people to illegal streams on the internet.Crazy move on their part.

Edit.I've just re-read the article on the Age,and they've amended the part about the A.F.L live pass.It seems that their first story was wrong, and you can continue to watch it even if you aren't a customer of Telstra,so that's good news for people who watch the games through that medium.

Best part is, according to Foxtel's FB online community people, we get to FINALLY watch it on Foxtel Go on your PC and Mac!!!

Which is awesome as I don't have Foxtel in my room and I can finally put it on the Mac and watch in bed!
