Play the man.

Let him lead this young group of kids and maybe salvage something from this year...

This

Either he's right or he isn't. If he isn't should not have played yesterday.

I'd be hoping he's knocking on Dale Tappings door offering to play. In fact I'd be hoping all eligible players would want to play. Reid in particular though would be very handy experience in defense along with Shaz and Marsh and Maynard.

If he gets injured everyone will blame the club/coach/president
Prefer him to start early on getting rested and ready for the preseason

Plus positions in the VFL finals should go to those who played VFL all year

Play Reid.

His experience is invaluable and it gives him game time which he's missed out on. Sets him up for a solid preseason...

Caff and he would be great for our young kids on the park.

Caff said after the game he's just starting to feel his oats after so long out...

Played more VFL than AFL unless I'm mistaken and only missed when unavailable through injury or management.

You are correct, J.

Has played 7 VFL games against his 5 AFL games.

And even putting that aside, the young fellas in our defensive group (the AFL kids and our VFL crew) would all benefit from his experience and it would also give Reidy a chance to hone his leadership skills as well...
