Yeah I have done something similar. Jailbroke my old iPhone 4 and found a neat patch for Foxtel Go that overrides the jailbreak and airplay settings on the app. Now I stream to my Apple TV piggy backing off my folks foxtel login.
All I did was beef up my modem so I wouldn't run into buffering issues as I have a tbox on the other TV.
Why pay when you can get it for free.

whilst i cannot possibly condone this behaviour, why didn't i think of this earlier?

I have all the technology and therefore means to do / achieve all the above, Problem is I only half understand it all.......And that's like "almost winning" which still makes me a loser.

Bit the same, got the Sony TV that internet able, an Xbox that'll do something else apparently, internet and Wi-Fi capacity, IPhone and IPad, Telstra customer, hooked into the free AFL Pass... just not sure how it all meshes together. |

I'm assuming you're talking about playing with your technology and it's not a euphemism for something far more sinister or dirty. |

this is not a dtmesque description of how he might spend his idle time. anyway, ios 9.2.1 is a no go for now. have to wait.

Why jailbreak Apple when you can do it on Android without the fuss?

It's bloody brilliant supports full screen native airplay. I am running ios7.1 but works on any iOS that can be jail broken (up to 9.0.2).
Just google foxtel go jailbreak to find the patch to install.
The app itself takes a little longer to load than a non jailbreak device and it's a little blurry for about 10 sec but once you are through that it's perfect.
Got to take your hat off to the guys that spend the time hacking this and letting everybody else use it. Anyway Foxtel Go should allow native airplay like the others like 7plus, 9now and Tenplay. Hopefully these hacks make them change their minds so you can do it on any device.
Happy days once it's working.

Jailbroke the phone to do other stuff and already have Apple TV then I found the patch when I was playing around in Cydia.

yeah. got a 5c that has latest ios on it and can't downgrade so have to wait until 9.2.1 solution is developed.

Same I wanted to break the iPad Air but Apple are making it harder to jailbreak ios, hopefully someone will develop one soon for 9.2. Luckily I kept the old phone for the kids to play with.
