So, any other player who has a D/E of under 60 gets vilified, in here.

But not Grundy ?

Not when they put on the kind of physical presence that he did today.

His physical impact was massive - make no mistake, Mumford has been actually dismembering opposition midfields this year. It's not just what Grundy did, it's the way he imposed himself on Mumford that mattered. That there was no attempt to hatchet Cloke, Moore or White, eg, was largely down to the opposition having its hands full with the Grundinator.

Must be a full moon or something but I'm finding it very hard to disagree with you today.

Mumford is a physical presence that makes his team stand taller, today Grundy negated that. Our dominance at the centre clearances was largely down to Grundy.

That's because I'm right about everything, all of the time. Give in on the politics, too - you know you want to.

Nah, it's one of those planetary alignment things. I'm not right all of the time, in fact one time I thought I was wrong. But I was mistaken. Razz

Mumford dominated Grundy in the first quarter, but apart from that Grundy had the better of him when the match was well and truly on the line.

He's a huge presence for us and at only 22 years of age, we have a gem on our hands.

Come on Donny, its Grundy!

Even when we were losing because we were getting smashed in the ruck, no one on here said a bad thing about him! The untouchable one...

Rather blame the forwards for not being able to kick bags when the ball spends 95% down the other end than the ruckman for failing to give his midfield any chance!

Brodes is a star. His around the ground on deck stuff is A, ruck work B+, marking C. Kid is 22. Physicality levels of a 24-26 year old. Will be the best ruck in the comp in 2 years.

There fixed it for ya Smile

Like

I thought his clearance work was good (6 individually), on top of breaking even on hit outs and us winning clearances as a team. Impacted on the scoreboard too. Big reason why we got into the game in the second quarter and why we continued on with it

It still shocks me in some way that we drafted him at pick 18 as I was sure that he would be drafted at a higher number.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I swear that he was touted as a top-10 prospect in the year he was drafted, but for whatever reason he slipped to pick 18 which I considered a bargain at the time.

He didn't dominate in the ruck and had the worst disposal efficiency % of ALL our players.

One of the coaches rated him BOG. The other rated him 2nd best.
