Pnc, do you think we should just stick with a more traditional jumper? I've started leaning towards thinking our current jumpers aren't traditional enough.

Yes, mate, the one with that thin black line, between the stripes would be my ideal jumper, so very neat, and I love us to go back to having that white hoop on the bottom of our black socks, that we had when I was a kid, it looked great, guess im a traditionalist hey. Very Happy Idea

I'd like them to wear the long socks pulled up, like their coach did when he played. Sadly, TV is the only one at the club who does that. (Paddy is the only one at Geebung.) Not much space for a white hoop on the bottom when the whole thing is just an anklet sock.

Prefer our predominant white jumper pre-2001.

Hope we can revert back to it in the future on a permanent basis.

A shame the bugler didn't get photographed. Being a trumpet player myself, I was mightily impressed by the bugler's rendition of the Last Post. It was easily the best performance I've ever heard at the MCG. Well done lad...whoever you are!

cheers Mate, unfortunately thats my Dad coming through! I only shot before the ceremony, once the Bugler started i stood to attention, (former marching girl!!) and didnt move til it ended. it really was amazing, i agree.

Yeah, we just flipped the colours for no apparent reason.

I think it was related to a merchandising deal with Adidas who were our guernsey manufacturer at the time.

This thread from BigFooty, which I posted below sheds some light on it.
