It's all about the funny mullet. The funny tattoos. The funny stories. The mums. The funny teammates.

Cant help but think when they're talking about the Pies its racism, assault, police involvement... I know we get a harder run in the media, but sheesh.

The fun appears to have been sucked out of Collingwood. I guess when everything is about work rate, process, structures you get high strung athletes who can't cope.

And you don’t think those KPIs are discussion points at other clubs 😳

We certainly have an issue but it’s not for Buckley to hold forty players hands after midnight seven days a week.
Every club schools these blokes to within an inch of their lives on every vice and anti social activity from social media to entrapment and everything in between.
At some point, just like the rest of us, these morons need to take responsibility for their own actions.
We really need to move on from blaming Buckley for every stupid thing they do. If any of this crap was happening during a training drill, then Buckley would have something to answer to.

And yes, plenty of other clubs players break the law and we don’t hear about it but I can guarantee we would still have a couple more skeletons that haven’t made the headlines either ..... yet.

Can I suggest that Maxwell is a failure as leadership and culture manager?

Can we also now stop make fake jobs for mates and start recruiting the best people for the role.

When you compare the way we responded to our Grand Final loss to the way Adelaide responded to theirs our culture seems pretty strong. Or perhaps Adelaide did us favour by showing us what NOT to do when you lose a GF.

Maxwell coming back was EXACTLY what the club needed.

Someone who has pride in the club and its history.

Problem is the President. I don't think we can truly understand the stress he must be under at the moment. Ed doesn't just love the club, but he loves the whole league and all industries that are part of it. If you follow the last few months media, Ed appears to be the only president who is actively working to ensure the comp runs at all costs - and has been the most vocal in terms of keeping the comp in the media. So as a result, now more than ever, he is the human headline. The negative is that he is dishing out more harm than good.

Ed needs to pull back, let Anderson do all the talking and stay away from commenting on all things football department wise. Telling Matthew Lloyd on FC last Tuesday (paraphrasing) that not one decision can be made without him agreeing not only makes things worse but actively undermines all paid positions at the club. If this is the reality, Bucks, Walsh, Anderson et al may as well all leave now - think back to how Lindsay Fox ran St Kilda - is this where we are at?

It is no co-incidence that the last year Ed stayed in the shadows was 2018 and look how the side went.

He needs to be more Lincoln and less Trump.

He should seek out a role with the AFL then. Right now he is damaging Collingwood and its brand and he should stand aside.

Those people calling for eddies head have blinkers on.
We haven't got a salary cap breach, an institutionalized steroid scandal or a coach / president conflict.
What we do have is a president with a high local profile that attracts sponsors and gives good exposure.
Sounds to me like he's doing his job - and well.

Whatever the pros and cons of this president, he does not attract sponsors. That is a myth.

The major attribute of culture is "consequence". Without it, it's just a buzzword. Time to make a stand and trade DeGoey.
