Treloar off our list didn't faze me one bit.
Losing the best and most versatile ruckman in the competition, to Melbourne, makes me feel sick.
Mark my words, magpie fans around the world will come to rue the day we gave away Grundy.

That isn’t the Grundy we have given away though, we have given away the 2020-2022 Grundy, who is worth nowhere near $1m a season

If we were doing this deal at the end of 2019 we would’ve been giving away the best ruckman, but we also would’ve had more than 1 suitor

I agree completely with Skids. I was actually relieved to see the back of Treloar - he gave us nothing of value. Grundy was and remains a gun footballer, forced to work with a largely inept bunch of midfielders. I expect it to be thoroughly depressing watching competent clearance players with one touch skills (Oliver, Brayshaw, Petracca) "roving" to Grundy - it will be a whole different thing from repeated hitouts to advantage sploshing off Adams' hands because (for all his other admirable qualities) his first-touch ball-handling skills are non-existent.

I was disappointed to lose Treloar and Grundy.

The optics around the way we dealt with Treloar's departure were far worse than Grundy's departure.

However, Grundy feels like the bigger loss.

Grundy is the bigger loss, but I still have memories of the 2019 PF and 73 HO yet a hack brought out of retirement seemed to have a bigger influence on the game. This was all before the Covid issues.

We will see next year won't we? It will be quite an interesting season...but I assume you're all in for a Dees flag? As in you are assured that will happen?

Grundy for me.

Treloar I didn’t value at all, I always thought he was shit (still do).

They were both really nice.

And both good at putting their hand out....

Let me correct myself.. they were good at cupping both hands out for more.

Really nice, we had THEM over a barrel at a time of contention.

I love you !!! , I Love being here !!! It's like family !!!

Give me maximum or I'm going!

I'm really Nice, and hard done by. Really.

The Treloar trade was an absolute clusterf**k and didn’t look good in any way even though it was the right decision for the club.

Henry will be the biggest loss long term as his upside is greater than Treloar and Grundy.

If we win a flag in the next couple of years I doubt anyone will worry about losing either of them.

Grundy hurt more.
I had some inside info on Treloar and he played a part in it

We manage through Newspaper soap opera and narrative

I should add.. I am not bagging the players

The players are nice people. They like us, and we like them.

Besides all that.

There was a time when we thought we needed these guys to try and win a Premiership.

Their contract was being negotiated, and they bent us over for top dollar or they would leave. We paid them.

Now the shoe is on the other foot, and we asked them to leave.

They were all business, and we reciprocated when the terms no longer suited us.

Its Sad.. but can't be putting us over a barrel and call it 'professional', and then sook when it goes the other way.
