Just showed our pressure rating for the last quarter. 131
That's one of the lowest on record. Are we even trying?

Pressure rating of 131. No team wins football matches with that lack of effort.

The Crows played hard all game. The umpires were abysmal but we got that hilarious call in our favour at the end.

Commentary all week will be “Absolutely the Crows were robbed RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME” Very Happy
100% and nothing will be said about the 1 they got a minute earlier In our forward 50. That crows guy was tackled fairly, dropped the ball and got the free, wtf was that for? The biased commentary furiously continues over the game without even mentioning that kick or what It was for, nearly cost us the game. **** em, some how we won, still don’t know how, thought we were cooked. No commentary on us being two down either In an already depleted forward line, they just hate us which makes this one so sweet.

Everything conspired against us. We had no right to win that with essentially no forwards once Reef was subbed out.
It would have been an honorable loss. Turned into a phew win

Spot on , No Elliott, checkers, McCreery, Reef off, yet we still guts it out, got the chocolates. Crows are a damn good side, for sure, same as last season, de ja vu. Take the victory an run with it, learn from the errors in this match, take the lessons, and onto next game. Yeh, pleasing win. Cool

The crowd at the Central Hotel in Port Douglas went off when JDG kicked that last goal, never in doubt.

Where did you get those stats - very interesting to see repeat efforts from players.

It was a great win because we were generally poor.
Ordinary foot skills ( Pendlebury aside ) for the reigning premiers and a restricted bench doesn’t generally lend itself to winning games against decent opposition. Yet we still found a way to get it done.
Loved the move of DeGoey starting as a forward ( 26 touches, 10 score involvements ) dragging his defender up the ground and losing him in traffic around the middle and then burning Keane off on the way back. Key defenders hate being taken out of their goal square comfort zone.
As long as we have control of the centre square, I would hope we start DeGoey as a deep forward more often. Might preserve the groins too.

Just to reiterate the Pies put Carlton out of the 8. And at this point now right in time we've jumped to 4th on the ladder.

To be fair we did very well to win but more importantly put ourselves into a position of 5 goals up so we were able to hang on. Adelaide were very smart in switching the ball to the far side and using the width of the MCG our players struggled to cover the area especially in the last, no wonder the pressure dropped away. It was remarkable we even found a way to get a goal to win after falling behind. Some of the new boys found it hard to run out the game which was understandable they will be better for getting the miles in their legs with the amount of pressure.

Cox is a major worry yet with our injuries to our talls he is under no threat of being dropped.

As opposed to most of our other games?!

As many of us noted in the pre-match, recent history showed this might very well go down the wire again; and sure enough:

Adelaide
Rnd T Opponent Scoring F Scoring A R M W-D-L Venue Crowd Date
R15 H Adelaide 2.4 7.5 7.8 12.10 82 1.5 2.8 9.9 11.14 80 W 2 33-1-15 M.C.G. 65930 Sun 25-Jun-2023 1:10 PM [W+2]

R7 A Adelaide 0.2 3.4 5.5 8.11 59 3.6 3.10 6.15 7.16 58 W 1 32-1-15 Adelaide Oval 43942 Sun 30-Apr-2023 4:10 PM [W+1]

R18 A Adelaide 4.1 6.3 10.5 14.7 91 3.2 7.6 10.8 13.8 86 W 5 31-1-15 Adelaide Oval 30110 Sat 16-Jul-2022 1:15 PM [W+5]

Today we won by 4 points.
Ironically, we have doubled our winning margin against them each time in our past three encounters? Shocked

So that's 12 points we've collectively beaten them by over the last four encounters.

They just gotta be due to beat us next time!

Like the Carlton v. Melbourne games of 2022-2024: these are ones to watch for a cliffhanger!

Just happy to win today with another decimated interchange bench.

That’s a story I’ve seen before. We are ranked #1 in AFL for knocking the scum out of the 8!
