i just cant believe the number of essendon supporters who have chased me down today. Nowhere to be seen for three years and its like they have all been let out on parole for good behaviour.
There is no justice.
BTW, lost amongst all this, is the way the club have handled this latest bush fire. All class and cooperation - the complete opposite to the ongoing denial that still spews out of Tullamarine.

No. The drug in question is out of your system in 4 days. Given that the samples were taken on 10 Feb there's no chance traces will be detected now (unless they are repeat users).
When the dope samplers rock up to your door they take two samples (urine in this case I assume). One (sample A) is sent for testing, the other (sample B) is kept in storage to used to verify the discovery of banned drugs in sample A (if they are found).
In the past, there have been cases where an athlete's sample A gives a positive result for drugs and sample B comes out negative. It can happen if the lab environment or the process of testing gets contaminated, or samples from other athletes get mixed up, etc.
The timing of this points to a possibly ingestion or dosing of the drug while the team were on a training trip to Queenstown in NZ in early Feb, or in Melb soon after.
(Be interesting to get the Feb staff lists from the various eateries in and around Queenstown to see if any dodgy bods were working in the kitchens, and the names of farms and suppliers who provide the food.)

| Thanks for that info Woods, Hoping for the best outcome for these 2 especially after tomorrow when the bummer players more than likely are going to get cleared IMO.

The most unlikely outcome here is:
these 2 will never play football again and have caused significant damage to the credibility of our football club and the game.
Those who have sympathy for them and are critical of the Essendon players are in denial.
Performance Enhancing Drugs for christ's sake are a blight on everything we hold true in Australia about a fair go and giving it your best shot.
A 2 year ban is too good for them, Eddie should order a public stoning at midnight.

Ok, let me start by saying I am all about innocent until proven guilty but while we are on the topic of clembuterol, you might want to google it in conjunction with " cutting agent for cocaine ".
Having said that, i would assume that if there was any connection, then I guess they would have tested positive for cocaine at the same time.
There is a strong connection between the two compounds, so there will be plenty of people happy to draw the long bow. Just putting it out there.
